About Timothy Niebauer
Timothy Niebauer is a physicist who lives and works in Boulder. Tim obtained his phD from Colorado University Boulder a couple dozen years ago and has lived in the area for over 25 years. Father of 3 he originally purchased Meeker Peek for the enjoyment of his family but as the kids grew and left home to start their own lives he decided to keep Meeker Peek but to rent it out to others who wished to share the area with their own families. As a boy, he and his EIGHT siblings enjoyed every summer in the Estes Park area and he wanted to open his home to other kids so they could also grow up with some fond memories of summer in the Rockies!
Timothy Niebauer purchased this house in 2000
Why Timothy Niebauer chose Estes Park
As a boy, he and his EIGHT siblings enjoyed every summer in the Estes Park area. He has many fond memories of those days. When he decided to rent Meeker Peek to vacationers he thought it would be a nice way for other children to created some fond memories of summer in the Rockies!
What makes this house unique
Allenspark is a small suburb of Estes Park. It has less than 500 year round residents! But it is conveniently located between the towns of Lyons and Estes Park and literally at the foot of Rocky Mountain National Park. A perfect place to stay while in the area with easy access to everything the Rockies has to offer. But it also provides so much more peace and quiet than some of the homes in downtown Estes Park. No noise from the summer crowds and traffic, just the quiet of mountains.
Tim realizes that kids today need their 'devices' and many people need to check in with work (even on vacation - it's the new way of the world!). So he has provided hi speed internet, wifi and satellite tv access for Meeker Peek. There's no cell service at the house, but there's a land line for receiving calls, and most people have video chat available through their computers nowadays. Warmth, comfort, conveniences, views, peace and quiet. What more could you want?
Guestbook comments from the owner
june: Joan Miller: Our daughter-in-law and son visited us to spend this week here so she could share her childhood memories of Estes Park summers at her Aunt's house. We flew here from New Jersey. I was very impressed with the awesome landscapes. We hiked and picnicked, shopped and celbrated our 43rd anniversary at a restaurant. We laughed and shared memories. This beautiful cabin was welcoming to come home to each day. Definitely a great vacation! June: Duane, Margi, Megan, Greg and Brian Pickett: We really loved your beautiful cabin and the amazing views. Not to mention the many hummingbirds that stopped by. Thank you for sharing your place with us for a few days! August - the Coles from China: We were able to vacation here with my parents and siblings for a week and my husband's parents and siblings. We had a very lovely and restful time, slept and really RMNP and Meeker Peek!
