Poipu Beach is a resort area with shopping, grocery stores and ten restaurants located within a mile of the property. The beach has twice been named the number one beach in the United States and is the only beach on the south shore of Kauai that is life guarded. This is also a great spot to take surfing and stand up paddle boarding lessons (SUP). You can picnic, swim, snorkel and sunbathe at the beach. We provide beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler for you to fully enjoy the beach.
The adjacent Poipu Beach Park offers covered picnic pavilions, barbecues, a play ground for children, beach showers, public bathrooms and lots of open grassy areas to sunbathe or picnic.
Brenneckes Beach is next to Poipu Beach and is widely considered the best boogie boarding beach on Kauai. We also rent boogie boards and snorkel gear and can have them waiting on your lanai when you arrive.

Golf: Poipu Bay Resort, former home of the PGA Grand Slam, is less than a 10 minute drive from the property. This is the golf course for the adjacent Grand Hyatt Resort. The course is beautifully designed with many of the holes on the ocean in Poipu. The clubhouse, which is located on the lake at the 18th hole, is a great place for lunch. At dinnertime the restaurant transforms itself into Yum Sa, a terrific Asian themed restaurant run by the Grand Hyatt.
