Away from the hustle and noise of the village, but still walking distance away.

Great location for summer with Lost Lake around the corner, and 3 minute access to the slopes from the free shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes. Perfect!

GREAT LOCATION

  • 4 of 5
Stayed with my wife and 2 kids.
The location is great-just a few minutes from the village by bike or car. Short walk to Lost Lake.
Condo has everything you need for a weekend getaway including wifi, BBQ and everything for cooking.
Lucien is quick to respond to queries and provides a helpful overview of the condo.
We will definitely be back!

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I had a great time in this cozy townhouse. The location was awesome, 1 minute drive to the village, a couple of blocks to Lost lake. We loved the silence at night. I enjoy the outdoors and my husband the city life, so this was great for both of us.
The place was cozy, had everything we needed, great washer and dryer!! Next time we'll bring our bikes, what a great place to bike everywhere. Our puppy was in dog's paradise.
Everything worked out as expected or better. Thank you very much

Owner's Response: I'm glad you guys enjoyed your trip! I feel the same way about this townhouse, and I consistently am being told that Whistler is better in the summer, but it's not a contest, it's just awesome year round!

SPRING SKI TRIP...

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I had been planning a ski trip to Whistler for many months, and were having difficulty finding a "resort" that fit our needs. When we decided to check out VRBO, The Woods caught our eye!

Having heard that the Village area can potentially be noisy due to the night life (of which we took part in!), we decided we would stay a bit out of the village hoping for something quieter. For this purpose, the Woods was perfect. Our sole purpose for our stay was to ski. We were perfectly aware that being away from the village would require either a shuttle, a drive, or a fairly long trudge in ski boots to get to a lift. The shuttle comes often, and many many skiers throughout the area utilize these. It is also free:)

If you intend on skiing, note that The Woods is on the Blackcomb Mountain side. We rented our equipment at the Daylodge at the Blackcomb base, and the process was extremely smooth. The shuttle will have stops for either the Blackcomb base or for Whistler Mountain base--a couple more minutes down the road.

The condo itself was very accurate to the description. It was extremely clean and cozy, the bed was very comfy, and there was plenty of storage for ski equipment by the front door. Also, we loved the heated floors!! It worked perfectly for me and my wife. However, I could see that it may be a bit cramped with 4 people, but certainly doable. We definitely enjoyed having access to laundry machines--a huge plus for spring skiing. (A couple days it was frigid at the top of the mountain, and people would be wearing sandals at the bottom!) The owner was also very easy to work with, and very timely in responding to any questions that we had.

A couple things to point out, if you plan on using the fireplace, you may check with the owner prior to your stay about where to get some firewood on your way in. While we did enjoy our fair share of visits to the wonderful various restaurants/bars, we also utilized the kitchen for a couple breakfasts, and a spaghetti dinner. The only thing we had wished we had were some ziplock bags for some of our leftover storage. Otherwise, everything we needed, we found in the kitchen.

All in all, our stay at The Woods in Whistler made for the perfect start for our trip to BC (we also stayed in Vancouver for three nights)! I would definitely recommend this listing to friends/family, and if I'm blessed to make it back, I would stay here again.

Cheers!

GREAT, QUIET PLACE OFF THE BEATEN PATH

  • 5 of 5
If you prefer nature and quiet over the hustle and bustle of the Whistler Village then this is it! The property was easy to locate, and upon arrival I found many amenities that made my stay a breeze: from cooking oil, sugar, and other essentials in the kitchen to the video library to the chopped wood for the fireplace to the multimedia setup (AppleTV, Xbox, DVD). The village and restaurants are a short walk away, and getting in/out to hit the slopes is a breeze (I drove to the Blackcomb lots). I would not hesitate to book it again.

I'm glad you enjoyed the unit and the amenities. This property really is my other home, and I'm hoping tenants find that it feels like home to them. Hopefully you'll be back for more Whistler!

PEACEFUL AND QUIET, YET CLOSE TO THE MOUNTAIN. WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE TOO!

  • 5 of 5
The Woods is located in a quiet part of Upper Whistler Village, on the Blackcomb side. Wasn't enough snow yet to ski out, but #5 bus stops right out in front of the complex. It's a short walk to the upper village lifts as well if you're up to it. Great hiking options from the condo around Lost Lake. Bus to Whistler Village takes less than 10 minutes.

Owner gives really good instructions and the place is well appointed to spend time in if you don't want to dine out and do the "village thing" (that was our plan for this trip). Can accommodate four adults but best suited for two if you're gonna be there more than a couple of nights.

Kitchen is very well stocked with high quality cookware, really nice appliances and lots of condiments should you forget to bring something. Kitchen has better gear than many principle residences, and way better than most condo rentals I've had in the past.

Other pluses include 2 TVs, Apple TV, WiFi, DVD library, large washer dryer, jet bathtub and heated floors in Bedroom and kitchen. Bed is comfy and linens and towels are nice. Fantastic self starting Bar-be-Que on outside porch. Wood burning fireplace too!!!

Only downsides (if any) was no view to speak of, but if you're out skiing all day you'll likely have amazing views on the mountain and it'll be just about dark by the time you get back anyways, and there's no outdoor seating but for couple of winter nights it wasn't a big deal as the fireplace was the draw.

I'd say you could use this place successfully without a car but if you plan to cook it may be a bit of a pain (but not impossible - lots of condiments makes this easier). There is also a small flight of stairs to get to the unit from the parking lot so it might be a tough climb for someone with disabilities.

If you're plan is to ski, bike and hike, this is a great, affordable option to staying in the village.

Aptly named "The Woods" . A very quiet part of Whistler. Unit could do with brighter lighting as it is a lower level unit location. Close to Lost Lake and great access to bike trails. Nice walk to the Village. The only downside was that BBQ been left quite messy and took a bit of cleaning however worked well. Ideal for a couple staying there but a bit tight for 4 adults. Plenty of bedding and every kitchen utensil you can think of except a really good coffeemaker. All in all a pleasant stay and we would book this unit again.
