Nestled in a valley of majestic mountains and steps away from the shores of Cultus Lake, BC, Stone's Throw Cottage offers a refreshing escape for you and your family. Located in a quiet
family oriented neighborhood, Stone's Throw Cottage welcomes families but is not able to accommodate groups of adults or vacationing students.
This home was built for families and has the touches that will make you feel at home. It has a floor to ceiling rock fireplace, cozy quilts, heated tile floors and quality woodwork throughout. Child friendly games, toys, books and movies are just some of the items that will welcome your little ones when you arrive. Whether you curl up with a book in front of the fireplace, roast marshmallows in the fire pit on the patio, hike the local trails, swim in the lake, take the canoe or kayak out for a spin, or do a round of golf, you will relish the pace of life offered in this unique place.
We are located on Lindell Beach at the end of Cultus Lake. The hiking and biking trails, in a forest privately owned by local residents, help you explore our spectacular surroundings. A baseball diamond and volleyball court is offered for your use in addition to the docks, complete with a diving board and swimming rafts. (Floating docks) A short stroll to the creek will reward you with seasonal glimpses of spawning salmon and scampering wildlife.
Stone's Throw Cottage has generous windows, which offer spectacular views of towering fir trees and seasonal snowcapped mountains. The lower floor common area features an open kitchen/dining and living area floor plan. Our floor to ceiling rock fireplace offers a cozy and relaxing place to enjoy the superb view of the towering mountains.
A short drive away, you will find waterslides, golf, mini golf, public beaches, shopping and local interest.

There is something about Stone's Throw Cottage tucked into those gorgeous mountains reflected in the lake that speaks of serenity.
So close to Vancouver, yet a world of its own; where one truly feels
"away from it all"!
Our kids loved the crackling fireplace, the 'secret' bedroom, walks through the woods and jumping into the icy lake in March. We have fond memories and hundreds of pictures to remember them by... Thank you to the most gracious hosts.
Stone's Throw was perfect for our reunion of three women and our children. The house was immaculately kept and there was everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Wood burning fireplace made our October stay cozy. The owners have clear directions and had a welcome treat waiting at the cottage. Would easily return.
Had a great weekend with my family. Nice and close to the lake. has all the features available that you need to enjoy your vacation . Wish to visit again in the future.
I hesitate to give such a glowing review as it probably means this place will book up even faster, but it really is pretty perfect. We were a family of 4 with 1 additional adult and Stone's Throw Cottage had everything we needed. Don't bother bringing anything but clothes with you. Legos (LOTS), lake floaties, portable chairs, a canoe, tennis court (do bring your own rackets), kids books and movies, etc. They had everything. We cooked every meal for ourselves I don't think we ever didn't have something we needed in the kitchen. The decor is very nice and the cottage so well set up. You should probably note that the second bedroom with the single bed has a really low ceiling and is difficult for really tall adults (my 16 year old nephew is 6'4"), but kids loved it. The master also has a sloped ceiling but it is easier to maneuver than the other room. Not a show stopper but something you should be aware of if anybody is mobility challenged or really picky about head room. Lindell Beach is WAY less crowded than the other side of the lake. There are so many docks to choose from, quiet evenings (Canada Day was noisier but still totally quiet by 11pm), lots of walking space, a great playground, etc. Good grocery shopping is only 15 minutes drive (Cooper Foods or Save-On). We can't wait to go back. Thanks to our hosts for sharing their lovely home away from home.
Our group of 7 women loved our stay here in spite of the rainy weather! A cosy, welcoming space and the owner was great in responding to our questions. Thank you!
I stayed 2 nights at Stone's Throw Cottage in January 2014. It was exactly the place I was looking for. The cottage was spacious, impeccably clean and very quiet.
We loved the fire place for wood burning fires and the heated flooring kept us feeling cozy. The kitchen has everything you need.
The bed in the Master bedroom was wonderful, I had the best sleep in months. The second bedroom had two bunk beds (single on top, double on bottom). The guests in those beds didn't think the mattress was very good, but they managed. The third room has very low ceilings, so only appropriate for a small child.
The community was almost vacated while we were there, so it offered quiet walks and contemplative moments at the waterfront.
I will be going back!
We had a great time and enjoyed every moment!! We specially love the beautiful neighborhood, it's safe, charming and "stone's throw" to the beach with of course Cultus lake itself. We are already thinking of our next trip there but this time...longer than 2 nights for sure!! Simple & Sweet, we highly recommend staying at Stone's Throw Cottage!!
