My beautiful two-bedroom/two-bath, completely furnished condo offers a fully-equipped kitchen which includes a refrigerator/ice maker, a dishwasher, garbage disposal, a self-cleaning oven, and a microwave oven. There is also a separate dining area.
The master bedroom suite has a queen-size bed, tv and its own bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and its own bathroom. The living room has a queen-size sleeper, NEW cable TV, a DVD, and sliding glass doors opening to the screened lanai with bird's eye view of the nesting ospreys. Amenities include central cooling/heat, laundry facilities and outdoor grills are on the premises. Heated pool, newly re-surfaced tennis courts, bikes for rent on site.
Sanibel is shaped like a boomerang, and is approximately 11 miles long and two miles wide at its widest point. Our condo is conveniently located in the center of everything and across the street from the Gulf and beach. We are a 5 min bike ride to the Bailey Nature Preserve with bike trails, a 10 min bike ride to the grocery store, movie theater. Want to go for a boat ride ( canoes, kayaks avail too ) via the Ding Darling Refuge Marina, it is only a 5 min car ride or 15 min bike ride. I like our location because when it is time to decide which end of the island to visit .... we are in the middle and it is easy to go either way. If you just want to stay close to home, theree are lots of restaurants nearby, Traditions is a walk away, Doc Fords, Thistle...and more. We also love our beach because it is so peaceful...bring your sneakers and join the parade of walkers up and down the beach in the am. Sunsets are glorious too.
The 'Ding Darling' National Wildlife Refuge makes up approximately 50% of the island. A five-plus mile nature trail running through the Wildlife Refuge is truly outstanding. Try to see it early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the birds are returning to the estuary.
Captiva Island is connected to Sanibel, and is about six miles long and very narrow. Fun to visit the outdoor restaurants with music. Keylime Bistro, Mucky Duck....kid friendly.
Whether you want to watch the sun rise while having breakfast on our screened lanai, or walk the beach and collect shells -- or fall asleep to a cool breeze, my Sunrise/Sunset Condo will be a wonderful home base for your vacation. Sanibel is like no other place for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.
