Our well-kept estate is located in lofty heights above the village of Mirtos. According to Feng Shui, Mirtopolis is ideally located; a place of extraordinary quality and style, with subtile colours, natural materials and lots of extras which make Mirtopolis the perfect destination for those seeking a combination of natural beauty, quiteness and relaxation of body, mind and spirit. The newly built apartments (four 1-room-apartments, two 2-room-apartments all together, partly maisonette-style and equiped with aircondition/heating) are offering both a unique view of hundred of olive trees and the Cretan mountains in the backyard as well as a breathtaking view towards the sea in the frontyard. Mirtopolis is well suited for both, individuals as well as groups and best positioned to hold courses or seminars. It can be rent by room units or in complete. Mirtopolis consists of four 1-room-apartments and two 2-room-apartments all together, partly maisonette-style and equiped with aircondition/heating and is well suited for both, individuals as well as groups and best positioned to hold courses or seminars of all kinds; it can be rent by room units or in complete. A washing machine is availabe upon request; mountainbikes can be rent on a daily basis, an outdoor boule game (petange) and a barbecue as well as outdoor showers are at everybody's disposal. Mirtopolis is open during January to December.

Some 18 family-run taverns along the seaside, shopping possibilites, a bakery shop and a coffee place make you soon feel like staying forever. Here, the typical cretan village life and the famous greek hospitality still exist.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The price can be offered if renting all of MIRTOPOLIS (i.e. six apartments) and is worthwhile if rented by a group of 12 people at least up to the maximum of 18 people. Of course, Mirtopolis can also be rent by single units, the prices of which you will find under the individual descriptions.
    You will be offered good conditions for long term bookings or for bookins during winter/ rest of the year. Mirtopolis is ideally built for seminars and training courses. Surcharges: all inclusive (taxes, electricity, bed linens, towels, kitchen towels, inbetween and final cleaning; exception: A/C which will be charged on a daily basis).
  • After confirmation of booking, you will be sent a rental contract (electronically or by fax) for countersignature. Therein you will find all parameters agreed upon, contact addresses and details on payment.
    Upon signature of the contract, 1/3 of the rent will be due, rest of the payment 14 days prior to arrival.

Further Details: Healthy mattresses, electric oven, 3 burner stove, outdoor showers, sandpit and childrens playyard. Child's bed and extra bed upon request, partly A/C, BBQ, Boule, relax chairs, wide garden area with cretan herbs and vegetables and lots of flowers.

How to find Mirtopolos: You have several possibilities to travel from airport Heraklion to Mirtos (approx. 100 km): Use either public transfer (bus), take a taxi (approx. EUR 85.--/ one way) or rent your own car, which we are happy to reservate for you starting at EUR 160.--/week, full insurance, free kilometers etc. included. After arriving in Mirtos you can either come straight on to Mirtopolis or you will be picked up in the village and brought to your accommodation.

Upon request we rent mountainbikes on a daily base at EUR 10.--/day.

Ein unglaublich schöner Platz mit einem grandiosen Blick über das Meer, in die Berge, an dem mit viel Liebe ein wundervolles Gästehaus errichtet wurde. Schon bei der Ankunft hat man das Gefühl "wirklich angekommen" zu sein und eine innere Ruhe erfüllt einen. Was mit Sicherheit auch an dem herzlichen Empfang durch die Inhaberin liegt! Die Appartements sind so liebe- und geschmackvoll auch mit Blick auf kleine Details eingerichtet, daß man sich gleich wie zu Hause(und besser ;-)) fühlt. Man merkt sofort, daß sowohl die Inhaberin wie auch ihre Mitarbeiterin sich sehr um das Wohl und einen angenehmen Aufenthalt ihrer Gäste kümmern. Die Räume sind überaus gepflegt und tiptop sauber. Was die Anlage darüber hinaus so attraktiv macht, ist die großzügige Terrasse (mit Duschen und Mobiliar), der immerblühende Garten und natürlich dieser Traumausblick! Zum Strand (Kies) von Mirtos gelangt man entweder über die Zufahrtsstraße, oder, kürzer: über einen Pfad direkt. Im Ort selbst sind ausreichend und gut ausgestattete Geschäfte vorhanden, um sich selbst zu Verpflegen. Es laden aber auch viele leckere Tavernen an der Strandpromenade und im Ort zum Verweilen ein. Die Leute sind sehr nett und zeigen einem: Gast und willkommen zu sein. Im Meer kann man wunderbar baden, schnorcheln. Die Lage für Ausflüge und Besichtigungen ist gut, ein ausgiebiger Besuch von Vai zB. ist von dort aus problemlos. Auch gibt es verschiedene, vom Tourismus völlig unberührte Strände zu entdecken.Wir haben Mirtopolis auch Freunden als Feriendomizil ans Herz gelegt und diese waren genauso restlos begeistert wie wir! Ein Traum eben!!

Mitopolis ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein herzlicher Empfang und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Ein wunderschöner Blick auf das Meer, ein gemütliches Dörfchen mit Strand und vielen guten Tavernen - ein wunderschöner Ort, um sich zu erholen. Wir kommen wieder.

Ankommen und Wohlfühlen, Ruhe und Sonne pur

Wir sind 2008 durch glücklichen Zufall auf Mirtopolis gelandet. Am Ende des Aufenthalts war uns klar, da müssen wir wieder hin. Im Juni 2009 war es dann soweit. Wir wussten was uns erwartet: Ruhe, Sonne, nette Menschen, ein gepflegtes und sehr schönes Ambiente, in der Nähe ein kleiner Ort vom Massentourismus verschont, etc....und last but not least ein Blick aufs Meer, den man nicht vergißt. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder!!! (aber nicht weitersagen)

Ich war "leider nur" 10 Tage im Mirtopolis, es waren die schönsten und erholungsreichsten Ferien seit Ewigkeiten.
Alles stimmt, liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkünfte, herrliche Umgebung, schöne Aussicht, Ruhe und Erholung, sowie fürsorgliche, liebevolle Gastgeberinnen.
Für alle die so richtig mal Abschalten wollen, Erholung und Abwechslung suchen dabei aber auch gerne sich Erholen und die Landschaft geniessen wollen.
Herrliche Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, Wanderungen aber auch schöne Buchten zum bädele.
Ich war nie der Mensch der 2-3mal ans gleiche Ort in Urlaub fährt, aber hierher werde ich immer wieder kommen!

Wir waren zu dritt Anfang Juni in Mirtopolis und waren sehr zufrieden. Alles, was in der Beschreibung steht, trifft wirklich zu. Ein wunderbarer Ort für Aktiv- und Erholungsurlaub, denn Mirtopolis ist eine blühende Urlaubsoase.
Vor MIrtopolis aus lassen sich mit dem Auto Ost-und Zentralkreta gut erkunden. Die ganz persönliche Betreuung vor Ort war für uns wie eine Beheimatung in der Fremde.
