My home is on a quiet street near beautiful Santa Monica Beach, Santa Monica College double Olympic Pool, Clover Park, Pen Mar Golf Course, a library on the corner, public transportation a few minutes from SM Promenade and Main Street shopping and movies. The neighbors are friendly and respectful. Santa Monica is adjacent to Los Angeles with everything a city has to offer, and just a few miles from hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains.

No Need to Look Further!

It's not often that one can review something and be completely at a loss to find fault. This is truly the case in regard to this lovely and meticulously well kept English Cottage in Santa Monica. Our family of 4 had the distinct pleasure of renting the cozy home for 5 months and cannot seem to recall one negative about the experience! We loved the tree lined street it sits on and its close proximity to everything; a mile from the beach, a library at the end of the street, easy access to freeways, near a Big Blue Bus stop, great restaurants within walking distance (check out The Counter), parks nearby, 3rd St. Promenade only minutes away, and a wonderful weekly farmer's market only 2 blocks away. We enjoyed waking to the cheerfulness of the uniquely well lit kitchen, which was well stocked with every necessity. Having fresh oranges, mangoes and limes growing right outside our door was especially wonderful! Liv, the homeowner, a very amiable and conscientious landlord, took care to install access and hook ups for computers, cable television and gaming devices. Our kids still talk about how much they loved living there! The creature comforts certainly made us comfortable, but what made our experience most memorable was the care and warmth that Liv showed us and how she carefully anticipated our needs. If we are able to return to L.A. for any length of time, we will look no further than this perfect English Cottage!

Perfect get-away from East Coast chill!

My parents rented this property for six weeks and had a wonderful experience. The house is cozy and spacious (oxymoronic, I know, but true) and beautifully kept. The back patio is lovely and large: perfect for cooking and eating al fresco.

The neighborhood is residential, but convenient to the beach, downtown Santa Monica and Venice. There are some great places to eat nearby (The Counter for burgers, Bolivar for sandwiches and coffee, good Italian, etc). There is also a park nearby with a playground and weekly farmer's market.

What made this experience particularly good, however, was the property owner. She lives in a separate and private guesthouse below the back patio and gave my parents complete privacy while still being available to help out with questions. She is a caring and respectful presence just beyond the gate and it was reassuring and so helpful to have her there.
