Seacrest Beach Vacation Rental cottage

My family and I enjoyed staying at Sandy Feat. It was comfortable, and exactly as described. My primary reason for not giving it an excellent rating was because of the outside access stairs for the 2nd bedroom. I think it would have been better to have these indoors, especially after trying to get upstairs during the 60mph winds a storm brought through.

I think this property would be great for small families (6 or fewer) with at least one pre-teen or teenager. Mom and dad sleeping downstairs, kids upstairs. But without the older child, I'd be worried about them staying alone.

We enjoyed walking to the pool (just about a 2 minute walk away). The pool is tremendous, and we met a lot of nice people there. In fact, they had a concert on the green (there's a grassy "amphitheatre" next to the pool) on Sunday night. I hear it's every Sunday night during summer.

The tram to the beach is a great help. But it's not a bad walk anyway. Easy walk to Rosemary Beach & Alys Beach.
We didn't necessarily like the atmosphere at Wild Olive in Rosemary, but the food is probably good. (lots of people there) Starbucks in Rosemary was fun one evening, but they told me it's going to be closed soon. Seacrest Cafe is already closed.

For other fun activities, head toward Panama City Beach. We went as far as Old Panama City (across St. Andrews Bay) for dinner at The Captain's Table. Absolutely wonderful. Great prices. Excellent food. And Amber was a great server. (ask for her!)

Also took the Captain Anderson III boat tour out to watch dolphins. Great value at $10 pp ($5 for kids 11 and under).

For shopping, check out some places in Laguna Beach. There was one little shop with all locally-made art. And a cat named Lea.

The water at the beach was full of algae. (a very small, stringy seaweed). Waves were big after the storm on Wednesday, but we got a lot of good time in the waves boogie boarding. Not many jellyfish, just a few. Water was not as clear as I expected after seeing all these beautiful photos. Guess those must be at other times of the year.

We hope to come back again next year.
