wonderful Christmas getaway

Just sorry we weren't able to stay longer. Our family of 7 adults scattered north, east and south, enjoyed Clayton House to celebrate our Christmas 2012 - it was the perfect location and provided an ideal sense of home away from home for us. Arriving from different areas and using different modes of transportation, we found this property made it easy for us to all meet and converge - within blocks of the Amtrak station, not far from the airport in Kalispell and easy to find driving in from up north. Restaurants, shops, grocery shopping, walking paths, ski shuttle were in close proximity. There was a wonderful warmth and a surprising spaciousness to the house - great beds and baths, a well appointed kitchen and cozy living room that allowed us to share the space and food preparation comfortably; everything we needed. The ski resort was not far so we were all able to enjoy some time on the slopes, as well as hiking and a variety of great eating establishments. I only hope we will be able to return in the future and perhaps enjoy Clayton House and Whitefish's offerings in the summer as well. Chap was most accommodating and kind and has a great thing going!
