The runs are rated: 20% beginner, 50% intermediate, and 30% advanced. The advanced, high-speed lifts take you to several locations on the mountain, allowing for minimum waiting in lift lines. Other local ski areas include Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
Snowboarders will enjoy half-pipes, berms, and jumps -- in addition to the entire mountain. Cross-country skiers have 65k of groomed trails that include track, telemark, and skating options. There are warming huts and picnic tables throughout the trail system. Lessons (some free) and rentals are available for downhill and cross-country skiers, and snowboarders. And the Minors Camp Day Care is open for children ages two to six.
In the summer the ski runs become trails for mountain biking. Other summer activities include tennis, golfing (on an 18-hole golf course), horseback riding, and fly-fishing. There is also a climbing wall and a ropes course. The famous Coyote Moon Golf Course is nearby.
Restaurants , ice rink, and shops in the Northstar Village are open throughout the year.
Our luxurious home offers a wonderful view of the valley and mountains, and it overlooks the golf course. The large kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped. The living areas are spacious, and include a wet-bar, a wood-burning stove, shuffleboard, and a full bath.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a full bath. Two other bedrooms have a queen-size bed. The fourth bedroom has a double bed and four singles. All of the bedrooms are on the same floor, and share a full bath in the hallway.
The living areas, kitchen, and deck are upstairs, and afford incredible views. There is a full bath upstairs. There is a two-car garage and plenty of parking.
