The house floor plan consists of: First Floor - kitchen, dining area, living and sitting room, full bath, sun room and deck. Second Floor - three bedrooms and bath.
The sun room is enclosed in glass to maximize views. Russian pine lines the floors and walls. Comfortable wicker furniture completes the look.
The living room is equipped with a color TV, VCR, DVD player and comfortable furniture. The adjoining sitting room has an 8' bench covered in cushions and pillows that provides the perfect opportunity to curl up with a good book, look out the window at the country landscape, or perhaps occasionally see the deer feeding at the apple tree.
The first floor bath is spacious and has a built-in vanity for your convenience. A washer and dryer are provided.
The three bedrooms are tastefully decorated, capturing the essence of country living. Comfortable mattresses and quality linens are provided.
A canoe and life jackets are provided free of charge so that you may experience the full beauty of West Bay Pond. Also provided, for our guests with children, is a solidly constructed, charming playhouse complete with stairs, a deck and accessories. This enchanting playhouse is slightly elevated off the ground while providing a safe play atmosphere with shatter resistant plexiglass windows. Children will delight in the endless opportunities available for imaginative and creative play.
Acadia National Park, Schoodic Site is approximately a 15 minute drive. Hiking trails are available at the Schoodic Site as well as sightseeing. Two lighthouses can be seen from this area. A ferry service, approximately a 20 minute ride, will take you to beautiful Bar Harbor for sightseeing, swimming, hiking, kayaking, bicycling, whale watching, nature cruises, shopping and dining. Driving distance by car to Bar Harbor is approximately one hour.
Enjoy live lobsters delivered right to your door with a two day notice. Several restaurants in the area also provide fresh Maine seafood. A free informational packet is provided to each guest listing local attractions, dates of special events such as fairs and festivals, shopping, dining, and directions to surrounding areas.
This home provides the perfect opportunity to experience the true beauty of Downeast Maine, and is situated in a quiet, secluded, and safe environment.
