This beautiful four bedroom, two bath home is located in Orange County's most popular destination spot - Balboa Island in Newport Beach. Locted just five homes in from the boardwalk that rings Balboa Island, this home enjoys one of the best locations around - the open ocean is about ten minutes away by foot and ferry; the Island's many shops, bakeries, and restaurants are just down the street; and Fashion Island, one of Southern California's premiere shopping centers, is five minutes away by car. The Cottage is approximately 1,750 square feet and is beautifully decorated, clean, and well maintained. The bottom level consists of a den/dining area, a small bedroom with a twin bed, bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room. The second level consists of three bedrooms and one full bath. Bed configuration upstairs: one full, one queen, and one king. There is also a vanity area with sink in the master bedroom. A fabulous front patio is the perfect spot for outdoor dining and relaxing.

    Summer weekly rates for 2009 are $2400 in June; $3000 in July and August. During the summer, the home rents on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis only. Rates are based on parties of up to six people. Inquire about larger parties.

    Non Saturday-to-Saturday stays are possible during the off-season. Stays of less than one week are also possible.

There is also a rear patio with lovely plants, a water fountain, propane barbecue, and patio table with four chairs. Wireless Internet service, telephone and cable TV provided. The boardwalk that encircles the island is one of the most scenic spots around. During the summer you'll often catch sailboat regattas in the harbor, and see pelicans and the occasional sea lion. This boardwalk is off-limits to skateboarders and bicyclists; so it's the perfect place to enjoy peaceful walks. The home's amenities include a washer/dryer, a garage (one space in a two-car garage), cable TV, VCR, DSL, and local telephone service. The fully-appointed kitchen includes a dishwasher and a microwave. There is one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, one full bed, and one twin. Additional color photographs of this home are available via e-mail. During the summer months, this home rents on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis only, with check-in at 3:00 pm and check-out at 10:00 am.

Great house with perfect location close to shops and activities on Marine. Nice to only have to worry about moving car for street cleaning once rather than the normal two days. Rare 4 bedroom find is nice for larger/extended family vacations or a group of friends looking to get together.

Kitchen and bathrooms are typical older cottage style and the floors could use a good cleaning. Otherwise house was great and would recommend to anyone and would definitely rent this house again.

Cute House in the middle of everything

This house is in the center of everything on Balboa Island. It is houses from the water, a short walk and a ferry ride from the Pacific sandy beaches, a block from groceries and shopping and still a great place to go and unwind. It could use some updating to make it modern and new but the charm it brings the way it sits is well worth consideration.
