There are beach shoes, life jackets, flippers, snorkeling masks, buckets, shovels, fishing nets, boogie and surfboards and beach sports equipment in the white cupboards on the patio, not to mention a volleyball net, Frisbees and badminton set there just for you. There is a complete guide to all of the area attractions in the living room as well as on our website. It includes detailed maps, information on hiking trails, and traveling tips. Some favorite places in the area include: * Crash Boat Beach (10 minutes on #107): Swim, boogie board, and snack on pinchos and shaved ices under the palms or cabanas. * Jobos Beach (10 minutes on #110): surf or snorkel.
Snorkeling or diving equipment can be rented at Aquatica Underwater Adventures (on left at Gate 5) on your way there. *Tropical Trail Rides (15 minutes on #110): horseback riding adventures for the whole family. Hours are 9 am and 4 pm departures, 7 days a week. Camuy Caves (one hour): the most impressive subterranean cave network in western hemisphere. *Arecibo Observatory (one hour): the largest radio telescope on earth. Learn how film producers used it in the James Bond thriller 'Golden Eye'. Las Cascadas (minutes away on #107): the largest water park in Puerto Rico. *Punta Borinquen Golf Course (one-minute walk from house to club house): $18 for an 18-hole round.
