While dolphins, whales, and surfers splash in the ocean at the beach out in front of you, you'll see hummingbirds, pelicans, egrets, and great blue herons flying by. If you've brought children, there's plenty of room for them to play safely right at home in your lovely yard! In the evening, enjoy the magnificent view of the Pacific from your patio, while cooking dinner on the grill.
If you decide on a romantic dinner, one of Carlsbad's best ocean view restaurants is three blocks from your home. It's just one mile to the center of the 'village' where there are restaurants and shops of every description, and plenty of nightlife, music and dancing.
Some of our guests like to bring their bikes to enjoy a scenic ride along the coast.
More family fun awaits at movie theaters, miniature golf courses, and the water park in nearby Vista.
Close to San Diego and Los Angeles attractions:
Carlsbad is great for so many reasons! One of them is easy access to San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles attractions.
Legoland is practically around the corner, next to a great designer outlet mall and Carlsbad's famous Flower Fields.
The San Diego County Fair (formerly the Del Mar Fair) takes place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds every summer from June 'til July 4th.
Carlsbad is located about half way between Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo (both about 45 minutes.) Sea World and the Wild Animal Park are about 35 minutes way. You can do a day trip to Universal Studios in Los Angeles, or Mexico if you are adventurous. The Coaster train can take you from the center of Carlsbad Village to San Diego's historic Old Town or downtown San Diego, or even up to Santa Barbara for the day!
Sportsman's Paradise:
Of course, surfing, swimming, and body boarding are right at the beach out front! You can fish at the ocean or at the nearby lagoon. The lagoon also offers many water sports, including jet skiing, waterskiing, sailing, and kayaking. Deep sea fishing and whale watching adventures leave from nearby Oceanside harbor. Runners and Biking enthusiasts love the coastline, where the Carlsbad 5000 and Triathalon take place annually, and can be viewed from the property.
Golf:
Several superb golf courses are within minutes, including 'The Crossings' Carlsbad's exciting and beautiful new Municipal golf course, as well as world famous Torrey Pines, the Four Seasons Aviara, La Costa, and there are also several executive courses very close to 'home.
