The home is in a very nice, safe neighborhood great for morning jogs. The view when you walk in the home is exceptional, and you don't miss anything by being on the bay as opposed to the beach. The home is in great condition, and perfect for multiple couples or families. Each bedroom offers plenty of privacy if you need a break from your friends/family. It is very nice to have a large kitchen to cook, and eating on the upper deck is lovely. The pool and hot tub are very clean and relaxing. You definitely feel like you are at an upscale hotel outside, but you have it all to yourself! The basement with pool table is so nice, and we ended up staying in most of the week with the exception of our wedding. The home is also located very close to grocery stores, and the beach. It is an easy trip to Tampa airport as well. We would love to go back, and highly recommend this home if you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful home with a view!
i admit after i booked this house i was worried because of some of the reviews i read after my booking. but honestly, i found the home to be immaculate, well appointed and with tons of private space for me and 4 kids who are teens and twenty types. we never saw neighbours so the privacy was great, i didnt worry about noisey kids in the pool bothering anyone. on our last day two dolphins swam up to the dock to say hello. every day was a different outing because the location is ideal for day trips. it is true the bbq was not useable but i emailed the owner with my concern and he indicated he had intended to replace it before we arrived but would do so after our departure so i hope the next guest confirms with him he has indeed replaced it. i would book this house again. ,.
A group of 8 professional women rented this home for a week to attend a professional medical conference and needed a place to stay together. This home was perfect, affordable for us, and located in a perfect location. The location was beautiful and everything we knew it would be. the problems started after we arrived. We got there and there was no toilet paper, linens on beds were dirty, some of the beds had no pilliows, and no pillow cases. We bought them. A light in the bathroom didn't work, the handle on the shower was broken. the pool was not heated, not were there instructions to find them. We found hair embedded in a wash cloth. The kitchen sink smelled of mildew and the sponges on the sink had mold and mildew on them. The pool had an open sucking filter not covered that 2 of the girls got their fingers stuck in and one got her hip stuck onto it. It was extremely dangerous. None of this stuff was going to ruin our time together and we knew it was a rental, so "it's not going to be perfect", and we didn't mind. However, when it came time to get out deposit back that's when all the bad started. We were charged with an obviously OLD stain on the carpet of one fo the bedrooms that we did not do! Our pictures of the rooms and house on the day of arrival proved that. The stain was present in the picture. We were accused of rearranging furniture in one of the room, and we NEVER touched the furniture, which was obvious from pictures also. We were also charged with missing linens which were the same number when we arrived as when we left. The house was dirty, as the floors were dirty and had hair on them. We just swept it and cleaned it up. Then it took months to get a response regarding all of this and to receive our deposit, which was not the amount we expected. We were charged for items and carpet cleaning that wwe should not have been. We are 8 honest professional women and definately were not treated as such. There were other things the other girls noticed that I can not remember, but this is what I was involved with. We paid GOOD money for this place for a week, and were at medical conferences most of the time, so these charges were false. I was very disappointed in the unprofessionalism in the owner and his assistant. There was not significant communication between them, and the stories didn't match. The home is beautiful and offered a great time to us. We appreciated that. The grills were filthy and gross. We wont' be back
Our stay at the Nash house in St. Petersburg, Florida from the 18th to the 22nd went pretty well and we had a great time, but have a few comments about the house:
1. We had to sign a letter about the towels in the house saying that we would be provided an inventory to check on arrival and we would be responsible for any missing towels. No such inventory was provided but the towels were plentiful and quite nice.
2. The dishwasher was not working properly and apparently this was known before we got there because repairmen showed up on Monday to fix it even though we hadn't complained about it. Not only did we have to wash all our dishes by hand, but some of the supposedly clean dishes in the cupboards were dirty (probably because they had been washed in the faulty dishwasher and just put away) so we also had to wash all of them.
3. The left front burner on the stove didn't work, we were able to use all the other burners but not that one.
4. There was no dish soap or dishwasher detergent to be found when we arrived. There was not enough toilet paper. There were no trash bags-- We had to buy all of this. The soap in the bathroom was pathetically small and sparse.
5. The instruction manual in the house had instructions for using when wireless internet and the TVs, but nothing for the pool, hot tub, or any appliances. Also, none of the light switches were labeled and many switches didn't seem to do anything
Despite the above inconveniences we had a great time. The was clean and the beds were comfortable and well made up. The pool and hot tub ( once we firgured out how to heat them) were great and fun. The house is in a very convenient location for St. Petes, and the grocery stores were very close by.
We had a large group traveling from all over the country (Seattle, Philly, Phoenix) from 2 years old to 70 years old, meeting up for a fun and relaxing week together. After extensive Internet research we settled on this property and absolutely made the right choice. It is a gorgeous home, tastefully decorated with a contemporary feel but still cozy. And spacious!!!! With a larger family group it's easy to feel claustrophobic, but the layout of the house and the outdoor space ensures that everyone has the elbow room they need. Night owls could do their thing while parents of the 2 yr old slept soundly ;) We loved the outdoor lounge areas, the large balcony with nice view of the bay and passing boats, the entertainment room downstairs, the ability to drop a line off the dock, the beautifully remodeled pool and hot tub...not to mention a wonderful master suite. It's unfortunate others had issues, we didn't encounter any problems with AC/pool function/etc. I will agree that The grill situation isn't ideal, although we did make use of their charcoal grill. Lastly, the property manager (Cathy) was such a pleasure to work with.....this will certainly be our first choice next year!!!
Very nice and comfortable house. The pool was great. The neighborhood was nice and the neighbors were friendly. Had some problems with the air-conditioner on the first floor and linens were not changed but was fixed right away after we spoke with the owner itself. Speaking of owner: very nice guy called us several times to see if everything is OK, directed us how to use his universal controls for all the TV's downstairs and at the pool. Haven't got the security deposit back yet, were told it takes three - four weeks to get it. At the end: We had a grate week at this place, will defiantly recommend this house.
P.S. Almost forgot: If you are planning to do any BBQ at that place, you can forget it... Grills are worthless and completely rusted. We bout one from Lowe's and than left it with our son who leaves in that area.
