You have found the perfect place - located just 5 minutes from Tahoe City, but far enough away from town to get that true mountain feel! Plus, we're at the end of a cul-de-sac and back directly to National Forest- it’s the perfect place to relax after a day of skiing, hiking or sightseeing.

The home has six nicely appointed bedrooms with soft sheets, fluffy pillows and cozy down comforters. Three have great views of the lake, forest and trees, and in the kid's rooms there are plenty toys and games for the little ones.

You will find a heated hot tub located in an indoor/outdoor solarium so you can either stay warm inside or open the giant sliding doors for lake views, cool air, and star gazing.

The great room has a comfortable seating area with a new wood burning fireplace, a 50' flat screen TV with HD Cable, DVD, VCR and stereo. The floor to ceiling windows look out to the lake and National Forest. The large dining table seats up to 12 people with eat-up counter space in the kitchen as well. The loft, which overlooks the great room, is a perfect retreat to check email, enjoy the view, or send the kids for a movie. The home entrance has ski and coat racks to store your gear, and in the garage you will find plenty of snow sleds to keep the kids happy for hours.

Our cabin is only 15-20 minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood ski resorts, and 5 minutes to Tahoe City shopping and nightlife.

Page Meadows is two blocks away for fantastic snow shoeing and cross-country skiing in winter and hiking and mountain biking the rest of the year. For summer fun, the closest beaches are only a 5 minute drive.

There is a large deck looking out over Lake Tahoe to enjoy barbeques and relaxation. Do not miss your chance for an unforgettable stay in this great Tahoe Cabin.

Why Kerry chose Tahoe City

The Sunnyside/Talmont area is close to downtown Tahoe City and ski resorts, but far enough away from everything that you get that true mountain cabin feel. The home backs up to National Forest with beautiful views to Lake Tahoe. The living room has a two story wall of windows looking out to the lake that provides lots of natural sunlight and warmth.

What makes this cabin unique

We wanted to be able to share our Tahoe home with friends and family, which was one of the biggest reasons we chose this house. It's set up perfectly to host 3 families or several couples. Our home is very comfortable, cozy and warm. It has a large central great room for gathering and bedrooms that offer plenty of privacy for guests.

Great house for couples or families

  • 5 of 5
We had a great stay at the cabin in Tahoe City. The house was centrally located just 5 minutes from town and had some great views. The house comfortably fits 5 couples (could fit 6 since there are 6 bedrooms but one bedroom is 2 twin beds). I can imagine the house being great for a few families with children as well. 3 of the bedrooms had magnificent views of the forest as you can see in the pictures. I slept in the Master bedroom and it was a very comfortable bed. The main area was great as it sat all of us at the dining table and the fireplace and hot tub were great to have in the main part of the house. Unfortunately it poured rain and was 50 MPH winds the entire time (very unlikely weather for Tahoe this time of year) so I can't comment on the skiing resorts as we didn't go. That said, we still had a great time playing games, cooking food, and sitting by the fire. I would imagine in the summer time it would be a fantastic view. Kerry was SUPER easy to work with and I have no complaints about the house or the process. We enjoyed a great 3 day weekend up there!

Large Comfy Cabin

  • 5 of 5
Our party had a great time at this cabin in Tahoe. The cabin is well located within minutes of Fanny Bridge and Tahoe City. It sits up on a hill and has partial lake views. They aren't many closely adjacent houses so you really feel like you are out in the wilderness. It is also within half a mile to a great trail head for hiking and mountain biking.

The house itself is great. A huge deck, a hot tub, a very functional open kitchen and family room and the six bedrooms make it a great house for large groups. The washer and dryer is convenient and the kitchen is fully loaded with almost every type of dish you could ask for.

Most importantly, the owners are very responsive and helpful in the event that you ever need anything. I will definitely be coming back here in both summer and winter.

Great spot to kick it

  • 5 of 5
I rented this cabin on behalf of a group of coworkers (about 15 of us) and we all agree that this cabin was one of the best that we've rented! The location was great: at the end of a cul-de-sac with an amazing view of the lake and surrounding forestry, close to the ski resorts, and far away enough so the neighbors wouldn't complain about our taste in music (thanks to the wall mounted speakers).

We had plenty of space to spread out and comfortably hang out in the living room, store our gear, and play games. The place itself was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable. The parking was adequate, but since we had way too many cars - some of us ended up parking at Grendelbakken a little bit away (thanks Kerry for the rec).

Kerry was very friendly, helpful, and responsive throughout the whole process and definitely helped make our weekend as awesome as it was.

Fun Trip

  • 4 of 5
The property is very nice and clean. We loved it. It was just some little things which botherred us a little bit. There was short of toilet papers. Each bath room only had 1 extra roll.
And we couldn't find any plastic wrap or foil in the kitchen. Besides that, it was a great experience.

Best Value

  • 5 of 5
This was our family post new year's celebration, and it was great! We've done lots of research and came across this property. This definitely matched out budget. The property itself exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, rooms were spacious! Jacuzzi was a perfect addition. It was very nice and cozy inside. The cabin is located right on the edge of the forest, so we had our own private sledding experience. From the initial contact to our departure, this has been the best family gateway by far!
