EXCELLENT STAY

  • 5 of 5
Such a cozy home with character. Tucson is a great place to visit and this home is centrally located so all the attractions aren't too far. The view of the mountains from the bedroom and living room are spectacular and it's in a great neighborhood with a lovely park. I would certainly stay here again. Thanks, Deborah and Jacque!

GREAT STAY IN TUCSON!

  • 5 of 5
This house was ideal for our stay. Deborah couldn't have been easier to work with. The central Tucson location provided great access to everything. We explored UA, downtown, and a couple of nice hikes. We walked to a couple of nice restaurant/bars that are less than a mile away on Grant. We'll be back!

OUR THIRD STAY AT LA MADERA HOUSE

  • 5 of 5
We love staying here!
Deborah has made this a very inviting home in which to stay. She is very prompt responding to reservation requests and available should any issues arise.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, the house is convenient for all activities -- Hiking, biking, running, sightseeing, shopping, or visiting your child at U of A.
Favorite activities: Sipping coffee and relaxing on the front porch each morning while enjoying the view of the mountains. Going to the Farmer's Market at St. Philip's Plaza on Sunday. Oh, and dinner at Guadalajara Grill on Prince Avenue.
I would definitely recommend this home to my friends!

A REAL HOME-AWAY VACATION HOME

  • 5 of 5
This vacation rental has everything we needed to live for 6 weeks. The kitchen is adequately furnished for cooking, baking and serving. The dining area is pleasant with plenty of room. WiFi and cable TV are dependable. Furnishings in this 1950’s Madera Park restored home are tasteful, comfortable and adequate.

The vacation aspect of this rental is outstanding: a safe area where you can enjoy walking/running; a large park across the street offering bird-watching opportunities; a unique and unblocked view of the Catalina Mts.; visible night sky for both moon and star gazing; both sunrise/sunset views coloring the Catalinas, and a private front yard from which to experience Tucson.

Tucson and vicinity offers a wide variety of areas to hike, museums, unique shops,
concert venues, and activities at nearby UofA. Sabino Canyon within a 20 minutes drive from Madera Park provides hiking for any level of ability including a guided tour on a tram into the canyon. Deborah has provided brochures detailing information about many touring opportunities.

Tucson has a variety of ethnic restaurants. We enjoy seeking out new restaurants and coffee shops each year. Our favorite this year is eXo Coffee Roaster on the corner of 6th Ave. and 7th St.

There are great grocery stores/farmer’s markets within a 15 min. drive and two unique markets within walking distance.

This is our 4th year spending 6 weeks in this rental. We have checked out other rentals and have found nothing that has compared in value.

CHARM, CONVENIENCE, AND COMFORT!

  • 5 of 5
We were very impressed with the work Deborah has done to create a welcoming open living area with a great detail of attention paid to anticipating and providing for every visitor's needs! The modern kitchen was a delight! The patio provided a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the mountain views. The house is in a pleasant neighborhood with a lovely park (obviously loved and enjoyed by everyone!) across the street.
The location is perfect for seeing all the sights...minutes to town, yet easy access to the highway for visiting Saguaro National park, the wonderful desert museum, San Xavier Mission, Tucson Studios, etc! And...don't miss Sabino Canyon...so close and so beautiful.

GREAT TUCSON RENTAL

  • 5 of 5
This was a wonderful rental. The house was in a great location near shopping restaurants and across the street from a nice park. The house was charming and well maintained. The owner was very nice and was available to answer any questions. The house was clean and was equipped with everything we needed to be completely comfortable during our stay. I would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to my friends.
