Peaceful stay near city amenities

onthetable Phoenix, AZ
Review Submitted: October 10, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
The listing was very accurate except that the view of the mountains is better than pictured! The house was very clean and the decor attractive. Personally I loved the wooden floors and the soothing color scheme. I was a bit worried about staying by a park since I've had difficult experiences in urban parks but this park is very well loved and well used by people of all ages. Runners, walkers, babies, etc. Very friendly, quiet neighborhood. There are bike trails to the University (which I did not use) and it's an easy drive to anywhere in Tucson. There is a neighborhood natural foods grocery and a Trader Joe's is not far away. If you like Farmer's Markets, do go to the Sunday Market at St Phillip's Plaza. You can have a good breakfast there and it's a lively scene.
Owner's Response: Thanks so much! I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay! Deborah

Haven from Orientation

ReinaTX San Antonio, TX
Review Submitted: July 2, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
I came from Texas for my son’s Orientation at the University of Arizona. It was great to come back to relax with all the comforts of home at the end of the day. The first night after our flight was extremely restful. The beds are super comfy! There is a panoramic view from the living room sofa of the Catalina Mountains. I found myself leaving the curtains open to maximize the view of the sunset and Madera Park across the street. The home is nicely decorated with a wonderful tiled bathroom. Its location to shopping and the university made it ideal. I would definitely stay again!
Owner's Response: Thank you! I am delighted that you enjoyed the home! Deborah

Great Experience

MattFromMaine Eliot, ME
Review Submitted: May 26, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This home was perfect for our short stay in Tucson. Location was ideal, everything was clean, and it was just the right size for us. Furniture and beds were very comfortable and all the appliances worked perfectly which made this house the ideal home away from home for us. We're runners, so it was really nice to be next to La Madera park.
View of the mountains out the front window was a great bonus!
Owner's Response: Thank you! It always makes me happy to know that my guests enjoyed this cozy home. Deborah
