Nice house
We stayed in this house with 8 people which is the max, we had four childern ages 9-12 the basement was a great spot for them to all hang out and have fun. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It's clean and looks just like the pictures:) It is close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay in this area.
Cons: The only bed that is comfortable is the master bed, it is on a fairly busy road, there is not a common bath upstairs so you have to use master at night or if someone is showering downstairs. The roll away bed needs to be thrown out don't count on it for sleeping on. The upstairs fridge took three days to get cold enough for food we had to use downstairs fridge for food. The WIFI is from a satellite and slow would be an understatement.
Area: The beach that is close is very small we went to lake George for the beach, Six flags was a huge disappointment and not worth the trip of going, Funspot was the kids favorite, Bolton Landing was a great day trip, Boat cruise on the Minnie Ha Ha was relaxing and a great way to see the area. Mollies Mason jar on 9N was great food and awesome cinnamon rolls!
Owner's Response: The owner provides a very comfortable home. The home does sit back off the road and provides a large private yard on both sides and in the back. The brook that surrounds the property has been one of the tenants favorite spots to sit by. We've had numerous tenants totally enjoy the home and the area in the last 3 years since it was made available to rent. Many have returned since.
We were not made aware of the refrigerator and do ask in our house book that any of those such items should be brought to our attention. In the comment book, it was never mentioned either.
The beds are newer mattresses and this is the first complaint we've had regarding this.
WIFI is a sattelite internet service. Unfortunately, this house is in a small remote location of the Adirondacks that the owners can't have high speed internet service. They have checked on several occasions and have been told by those services that their company can't provide the service.
We strive to make our tenants have a comfortable stay. We do ask that if there is something that needs to be brought to our attention to call our office and we will try our best to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, this tenant's expectations were not met by some of the things offered at the home or the immediate area.
