Privacy, safety and comfort are the main idea of this vacation. You will appreciate to be away from the very busy downtown, but so close at the same time. It will take you 5 minutes to go from you villa to town and 8 minutes to go check out Montezuma or Cobano. The heart of this house is an amazing living space with a kitchen opening on huge terrace facing the pool and the breathtaking ocean view. The house contains 2 bedrooms facing the ocean with private baths, fans, a spacious living area and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator. The indonesian-inspired interior design features, creating an environment that invites guests to relax, while the simple furnishings offer all the comforts you’d expect at home.

This area of Costa Rica, Mal Pais is the most beautiful place we've ever been. The house is located in a private, gated complex which is mostly all farmland. The location and house is very private and protected..... the perfect destination if your looking for pure solitude and relaxation and perfectly designed for a group of people or just two. The view you see from the house is amazing, you see the ocean and the jungle, its paradise !!

We rented the house for 2 weeks and spent almost all of the time in the house swimming in the pool, cooking on the barbeque, napping, watching sunsets, etc.. Yet we were so close to the beach, grocery store and restaurants, it was a perfect balance.

The owners were so wonderful and helpful with organizing everything and spoke English, Spanish and French, they have truly invested into such a beautiful property!!!

Excellent view and private serene setting

The property is beautifully situated just back from beach, but on a private property that was a farm. It is one of the few vacation properties that will see more trees growing and replacement of natural habitat, as opposed to the opposite.

The house is beautiful, the salt water swimming pool is wonderful to cool off in the afternoon sun, and you have all you need to enjoy a wonderful week or two, plus you are 7 minutes form the beach.

The maintenance, cleaning etc are excellent and the management is what you would hope for when renting a beautiful vacation property.
