****REVIEWS FROM OTHER GUESTS*****
FROM IRMA, AUGUST 2014:
This is a great neighborhood and very quiet. We had a great girls trip and found the kitchen to be well stocked with all pots/pans etc. Bathrooms are beautiful as was the purple room!
We could see the Pacific ocean from the upstairs main floor when it wasn't foggy even though the house is quite a distance from the beach.
Highly recommend this house.
FROM DIANE, AUGUST 2014
We (two adults and four teenagers) spent three nights at Linda's 'beach house' in Morro Bay and had a wonderful time.
The house was beautifully decorated, very well equipped, super comfortable and very clean. The beds were very comfortable - we are extra picky about that generally so it was a very pleasant surprise that they were so good. The bathrooms were beautifully appointed and felt very luxurious. We cooked in the kitchen and on the BBQ with ease. We took the downstairs bedroom with the outdoor patio area and really enjoyed the peace and calm that came with sitting out there to drink our morning coffee.
Morro Bay is just lovely. Very relaxed. Beautiful beach, ocean and views. We got a lot of marine layer the days we were there but it felt nice compared to the heat we left in San Diego. We caught the sun even so - don't be fooled!
We went to San Simion/Hurst Castle, Cambria, and San Luis Obisbo. We rented bikes and spent a couple of hours riding along the ocean front in Morro Bay. I realized how much fun everyone had had when we handed the bikes back in and everyone was laughing, especially compared to all the whining when we went to pick them up!
We would love to come back and stay for longer.
FROM LYNDSAY, JUNE 2014
The house was wonderful and exactly as described! We brought our 4.5 year old and our 18 month old daughters with us and it was a great set-up. Clean, organized, and a delightful weekend! Thank you Linda.
FROM YAEL, MAY 2014
The house is great - very well equipped, very roomy and very clean. We stayed there for 3 nights: 2 families with 6 kids, altogether, and had a wonderful stay.
The kitchen had everything we needed and more. There were enough dishes, which is sometimes not the case.
Linda is a great host - the communication with her was easy and fast.
FROM MARY JANE, MAY 2014
We were a group of six adults and stayed three nights in this lovely home. It is very spacious and inviting and we had everything we needed. The views of the ocean and Morro Bay rock from the living and dining area were spectacular and we were close to restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again.
FROM MEAGAN, APRIL 2014
Our family had a wonderful stay at Linda's home. The house was comfortable, extremely well-located and well-equipped (particularly the kitchen) to handle our crew of 4 adults and 4 kids. We really enjoyed the view from the main floor as well as the side deck. Most of all, Linda's thoughtfulness and graciousness--in the weeks leading up to our stay as well as during and after--set just the right tone for our visit, which was a reunion among East and West Coast cousins. We really appreciated all of the information she shared with us about her home (she laid out in an organized way everything we needed to know!) and about fun activities in and around Morro Bay, as well as the yummy treats she left to greet us. In short, nothing but the highest marks for Linda and her home.
FROM NINA, SEPT. 2013
Linda has a beautiful, cosy home... pretty garden, interesting artifacts in the house, fully equipped kitchen and lots of warm furniture and lights in the house... it's a perfect place for a family get together, where you want to go out during the day and hang out in the evening, cook a nice dinner and chat...
we had a fabulous time... thank you linda...
FROM SANDRA, AUGUST 2013
We had a wonderful time in Morro Bay and we enjoyed our mini family vacation in Linda's home. It was roomy enough and close to town & attractions. Conveniently located & well appointed.
FROM TRACI, AUGUST 2013
Linda has a lovely home in Morro Bay. It is at the top of the hill with a beautiful view of Morro Rock from the dining room and the ocean from the living room. The home was beautifully decorated and Linda has a wonderful collection of antiques. The beds and sofa sectional are very comfortable.
We rented the entire house and also enjoyed full use of the kitchen. It was a great location to take day trips to different beach towns in the area. We also brought our bikes and enjoyed biking to Morro Bay. A wonderful family vacation!

Hi! After leaving the San Francisco Bay Area, I went in search of the perfect California Coastal town, and fell in love with Morro Bay! I love the spectacular views from my cute beach house, and quiet nights.
Linda Warwick purchased this house in 2012
This house has a special warm feeling, and incredible views of the ocean with breaking waves, and the famous Rock.
The hot outdoor shower after a day at the beach is just great! So is hanging out at the outdoor dining table on the front deck. The newly remodelled bathrooms with jacuzzi tub and rain showers is like a day at the spa!
The rental had magnificent views, comfortable beds, and everythinbg was clean . We will defenitely keep this vacation home on our list of places to rent again.
Our stay at the home couldn't have been better.
All of our children being adults space can be an issue - especially when you add in our grandchild.
But this year was perfect. The bedroom/bathroom count and bed/bath layout was exactly what we needed (and there was 8 of us).
The kitchen and main living area is very spacious and the overall design is very functional, peaceful and relaxing.
While staying in Morro Bay we visited the Mid State Fair, Down Town San Luis Obispo, the amazing Justin Winery, saw large elephant seals and had an evening bon fire on the beach.
Having stayed in many homes in Morro Bay we would definitely book another stay in the future.
The owner was equally as pleasing to work with.
We thank her very much and wish her all the best.
I checked in on 7/3 and out on 7/10. The house was not in good condition when I checked in. Every drawer, closet, cabinet, refrigerator, etc. was full of clothes, old food, trash, etc. There was even old medicine loose in one of the dresser drawers. The fridge had rotten tomatoes in it and half eaten fruit. The freezer handle was broken and taped on with scotch tape, it had obviously been that way for a long time. The cabinets were so full of old food and there was no room even to put food that I bought for my trip. There were knick knacks and personal photos everywhere.
I will say that I did not complain to the owner about this at the beginning of my trip and was reluctant to write a bad review. I do wish someone had warned me though. Everything I have to say is completely honest.
There was a large flat screen tv propped up with DVDs not attached to the base in any way. This is a hazard and I was afraid for my children's safety.
The night before my trip, I had to call and ask how to get into the house because the owner never sent me follow up information. And while I was there she had a cable service scheduled to come do something with her wifi. I had to let him in and wait until he finished what he was doing.
The property owner has now, after I asked a month later, informed me that the house needed extra cleaning and I will not get my security deposit back. She also told me that I broke the freezer handle. As I mentioned, it has been obviously broken for a long time and was being held on with scotch tape. She informed me that she is not local and does not have a chance to check her property herself. I do not believe there was so much extra cleaning that she had to keep my entire security deposit.
I specifically checked all check out information and followed any instructions (there weren't many). I put the trash cans out on the street on the correct day. I did all the dishes before I left, threw all the towels in a pile, and even cleaned my stuff out of the refrigerator.
I have stayed at many houses from VRBO and never had a problem getting my security deposit back. I treat all houses I stay at like my own. I would not recommend this house. I do not believe the owner is being honest with me and feel taken advantage of because I live in another state.
It was a fantastic trip. Morro bay and area is a true delight. The house was all that was promised. It was clean and it looks mostly new. There must have been some recent renovations. Loved the bathrooms. Fantastic views from the upstairs dining and living room. The local's supermarket is in walking distance.
We really enjoyed our stay in this meticulously maintainted home perched high above Morro Bay. The house was charming with comfortable beds and baths. I loved my opulent purple boudoir. The town of Morro Bay has a great vibe with its stunning bay and rock, as well as galleries and restaurants.
New owner totally redecorated and it is stunning, plus nice touches such as candy dishes and fruit basket! Loved staying here - outstanding views and serenity. Perfect vacation rental. Will definitely come back!
