A Piece of Peaceful Florida

The condo was beautiful inside and out. Inside it was equipped with everything in the way of dishes, utensils, and linens..Imagine 4TVs, one huge HD, each with its own DVD/Video players/recorders. Outside, the large balcony overlooks the ocean with its dolphins and birdlife. Even the backdoor looked towards a lagoon with Florida sunsets. The five-mile-or-so road from downtown Palm Coast, the roads within the Hammock area all with adjoining sidewalks were finely landscaped, maybe the best in Florida, along with paths around the many golf courses made endless walking opportunity in that great Florida light. We also enjoyed walking through a more natural, “old” Florida in nearby Washington Oaks State Park. <br/> Expected the gym to be available; didn’t expect two large pools to be kept heated in some cold days/nights in January/February. Sitting by the pools provided great wind breakage and sunning. When too cold we enjoyed 1) Daytona Speedway Museum and Garlits Auto Museum 2) Art Museums in Daytona, New Smyrna Beach and Ocala, 3) Jacksonville zoo (Wow!) 4)movies in Ormand Beach 5) The Villages ) 3 days in St Augustine without seeing it all, etc, etc<br/> Great variety of restaurants in the area. We, and even the most fastidious of our guests, enjoy ones that were close by….JTs Seafood,and the Italian Grill in the European Village<br/> Everywhere we had the place pretty much too ourselves (except Daytona Speedway),none of that chaos of Southern Florida. <br/>
