Overlooking park-like backyards it is very quiet while being centrally located in the middle of Manhattan. The Empire State building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square and Javits Center are within walking distance, so are the Chelsea piers, Manhattan's biggest sports complex and the Meat Packing District, New York's ultra-hot nightlife/fashion/restaurant neighborhood. New York City's newest attraction the elevated Highline Park is only steps away. The apartment is equipped with high definition satellite TV, sound system with i-pod dock and free wi-fi access. The kitchen, like everything else, is brand new is brand new with stainless steel appliances. It is perfect for a couple or single traveler. The central location combined with the privacy and quiet make this apartment very special.

I have never been one to write a review for vacation accommodation, but after spending just under a week at Michael & Catherine’s lovely Chelsea studio I felt strongly compelled to share my thoughts of my experience. It was the first time to New York for my girlfriend and I as a couple (we had both been several times on our own) so had already done the so called touristy things, this time we wanted to experience living like real New Yorkers. The amazing location of the studio certainly did help with this; we were in walking distance to everything we wanted to. Close to great restaurants and café’s.
The room itself was very tastefully decorated and was extremely clean on arrival. The view from the studio was quite special, it was just of a little garden but I thought that was quite special and unique for downtown Manhattan. The bed was very comfortable and was just perfect after the long hours we spent on our feet discovering Manhattan again.
Both my fiancé and I (I proposed at the end of our trip) would come back in a heartbeat and have not stopped praising the place to friends and family.

My stay in the amazing city of New York, was made even more enjoyable by the fact that I had this fabulous apartment to come home to at the end of a busy day. This newly renovated apartment was modern, tasteful and spotlessly clean and tidy!!

The owners of this property were delightful and certainly helped to create a 'home away from home' experience!! The polished wood floors, wide screen TV and enchanting view of the back garden are just some of the beautiful features of this apartment. I also found the location to be handy to the best bars, restaurants, galleries and shopping in the city!!

I adored every minute of my time here: my only complaint is that 3 and half weeks wasn't long enough......I wish I'd been able to stay for much, much longer!!! Gorgeous, just gorgeous!!!!

The apartment was perfect for us (a couple), well equipped and maintained to a high standard.

Good location for reaching up/downtown with plenty nearby. Also, lovely to see some green outdoor space - rare in NY!

Great owners. They made us most welcome and we would definitely like to return.

Perfect place for a short visit

My partner and I lived in the city until three months ago and had to return recently for a short business visit. This property met all our needs - a great central location, a bright, sunny interior overlooking a wonderful garden with a comfy bed and wireless internet, and a wonderful little kitchen. All in a great low-key and very quiet building. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process. We'd highly recommend it and we will be returning.

Bellissima vacanza!

Our vacation was really nice at Micheal's home. The apartment is lovely, very well equipped and clean. The neighborhood is very cool, with many galleries and places to eat, it's also close to the center. Micheal gave us a lot of suggestions and he helped us a lot. I shall advise the house of Michael to all my friends who will go to New York, particularly to those seeking a romantic and dynamic. We hope to return soon to see him.
