What a Great Place--Victorious Victoria!

We stayed at the Victoria recently and I have to say it was such a great place to be, especially in the winter (or what passes for winter in Dunedin).
All day long, sailboats would cruise up and down in front of the complex. It's right on the water and a easy walk to the marina. Whether from the patio or by the pool (which isn't heated, but they have nothing saying it is, and we didn't bother asking because we were there for the beaches, anyway), the view is spectacular. We were especially fond of watching the sun set over Caladisi Island while sharing a bottle of wine (or a Cuba Libre) every perfect evening.
Speaking of Caladisi, its beach is almost always ranked as a number 1 beach in America, and for good reason--it's beautiful, clean, not crowded and has not too many waves.
Okay--I sound like an ad, but the place really is marvelous.
The owners are great, as are the neighbors, and everyone is very friendly and treated us like neighbors. Deborah, the lady who found this place for us, was also very friendly and helpful and, most importantly for me, very professional. All in all, everyone was a pleasure to deal with.
Dunedin is also a nice little town. It has a lot of cozy restaurants and nice places to spend your money. There's also a walking trail right through town. Very nice place!
We will go back every year now!
(Oh--and we learned to sail, too! They have a sailboat rental place on the causeway...what fun!)
