Tucked away in the Northern Georgia Mountains, this new cedar-sided 2000sqft cabin offers an incredible view of Lake Chatuge, the largest and highest lake in the Georgia Mountains. Relax and enjoy the view or take advantage of the nearby water sports, hiking, dining, and shopping that the quaint town of Hiawassee has to offer. Home of the Georgia Mountain Fair, Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, and Brasstown Valley Golf Resort. Nestled in the heart of a tri-state area with only 15 minutes from Helen, Georgia, 30 minutes from Franklin, North Carolina, and less than two hours from Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia. You can find both relaxation and outdoor activities for the entire family. Cabin offers 2 living areas, 2 bedrooms and a sleeping loft for upto 8 guests. Pets considered with a non-refundable/non-negotiable ped deposit of $75.

My research for my annual trip, to see the leaves, was to start with the internet. The Overlook of Hiawassee was the first cabin I saw. After checking several cabins online, I kept coming back to this cabin in Hiawassee, and am I glad I did. A friend and I were there for one week - wishing everyday that we had a second week. It is beyond what I imagined - the view is majestic, the peace and tranquility I felt for the time I was there - words cannot describe. It is comfortable and so accommodating. The leaves were not in their full colors, but just enough mix with the green to be just wonderful. I will definitely be making more trips to the Overlook at Hiawassee!
