THE BEAUTIFUL SANDTRAP ON SANDY SHORES OF LAKE HURON

The house is great, plenty of space, beautiful kitchen, comfortable master bed. The description of the house is very accurate. The living room/kitchen/dining area was very airy and open, really invited the family to spend time together. There is no air conditioning, but the evening breezes off the lake really cool off the house at night, even when the daytime temp reached into the 90's, I just had to remember to get up early to close all the windows to keep the days' heat out. The master suite is fantastic, loved the private bathroom and extremely comfortable master bed. All the appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer) were in perfect working condition - nicer than mine at home! The bbq grill was very large, and I was happy to see they make an effort to be sure it's clean for each guest, which was a refreshing change from most places I've rented. The backyard was perfect, included a couple of strong trees to provide some shade on those hot days, and were perfect for hanging our hammock. The beach is large and very sandy, we spent most of our days there. The only downsides of this beautiful house is, although Lake Huron is gorgeous, this space has a very rocky bottom for quite a ways into the lake. In order to get into the lake, we had to make a trip to Walmart to get some water shoes. With those, and some careful stepping, we were able to enjoy the water. Also, there is no wifi (we had to go to Tim Horton's to do some necessary work & school communications) and no air conditioning. We really love swimming in the lake, so the rocky bottom is a big deal for us, but the house and beach are both absolutely beautiful.

** WARNING ** I originally submitted the above. All are true. The surprise came a couple of weeks after our stay. Beware. We are a frequent renter and ALWAYS treat the home with the utmost respect and care. However, the owner chose to deduct money from our deposit for regular household maintenance repairs. A door fell off as soon as we arrived, the door handle on the back door was loose, and a toilet paper holder was loose from the wall when we arrived. ALL of this was the condition when we arrived to the house. We called immediately about the door (which she quickly had repaired), but let the other minor items go. She chose to charge us for ALL the repairs. the house was nice, but the owner will make you pay for her regular maintenance tasks.

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Plenty of room and a great kitchen for cooking, which we love to do. The beach was amazing and provided great swimming and floating opportunities.

All the toys were a great addition. My one grandson spent a great deal of time playing with the little kitchen set. We all got to share in his wonderous treats. We think he might make a great chef one day.

While our stay was good (excluding the fire alarm going off one night and waking everyone up) Stacy hasnt returned our deposit in 3 weeks now. We have constantly been calling and requesting her to return our deposit she hasnt done that.
So think twice before renting this place or there is a possibility you will end up having to spend more than what you anticipated.
For the price they charged there was no dishwashing liq, no laundry detergent (yet the expected you to start a load of laundry). The sheets and towels from the previous guests were still in the dryer.
