Overview

Old Town House Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms, 5 Baths, (Sleeps 2-14)

You will love my beautiful 3900 square foot home with two king master bedroom suites in Old Town Park City. It's large size and location make it ideal for families, friends, or oher small groups. It has a large open kitchen with double ovens and an island cooktop. One bedroom has 3 queen beds with a sitting area with a 50' HDTV. There is a desk with a FAX/Printer, free unlimited calls to USA & Canada and a wireless 25 MBPS internet connection available throughout the home. There is a ping pong table in the heated garage. Relax outside in the new hot tub or by the fireplaces after a day at the ski resorts with Main Street restaurants, shopping, and nightlife all just a 2 blocks away.

For those familiar with Old Town in Park City, our home sits in elevation just above Grappa and the Wasatch Brew Pub (Restaurants on Main Street) both just a five minute walk away. The street location is near the intersection of Hillside Ave and Prospect Street and just off Marsac Avenue which goes up to Silverlake and Empire Lodge in Deer Valley.

Walking down to Main Street and the free Trolley requires only one set of stairs from the Sandridge to Grant Ave just off Main Street.

If you are walking we recommend using a shortcut between Sandridge and Grant Ave (not shown on the map) and don't recommend walking along Hillside in the winter. The Transit Center is near the roundabout along Marsac which is just a little closer to the house. If you do walk from the house to the Town Lift it is a nice walk and all downhill. Uphill at the end of the day you would definitely want to use the trolley but have lots of bars and restaurants along the way.

The Town Lift is located near Butchers Restaurant at 751 Main St Park City, UT 84060

About John Poole

I live in Park City and in Puerto Vallarta and have owned this home for 10 years now. It is my favorite place to meet friends and family and enjoy sharing. I have had many repeat guests. The home is professionally cleaned and maintained in perfect condition.

John Poole purchased this house in 2003

Why John Poole chose Old Town

I purchased this property because of its size and proximity to Main Street. I like being able to walk to all the restaurants and shopping and the feel of living in a village. I also like having a nice newer home with an open floor plan which is great for larger families and small groups.

What makes this house unique

Walking to Main Street in Old Town Park City which is the main pedestrian, shopping, and dining location in the area. Close proximity to Deer Valley as well as Park City Mountain Resort.

Awesome house, responsive owner

  • 5 of 5

This house exceeded all of our expectations. The house was spacious, clean, fun, and in a fantastic location. There is plenty of common space on the ground floor, which is great if you come in a big group (there were 14 of us). There is a hot tub and a grill outside which adds a bit of fun. The house is located walking distance to Main Street, which is where most of the bars and restaurants are located. The owner, John, was very proactive (sent us detailed information well ahead of arrival) and responsive to a couple of minor maintenance things. He was flexible with a variety of things, which is very helpful when you are dealing with a big group. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway with a bit of skiing or hiking involved. We had a lot of fun and would definitely return should we be back in Park City.

Absolutely perfect location. Great big beautiful home with plenty of room for lots of guests. Very clean and well-designed. There's a little issue with the fire alarm being set off by the toaster, but I'm sure John is taking care of it. Stay here!!!!

Location, Location, Location

We are renting for five weeks and we are about in the middle of our stay. I can't wait until the end to review because I'm busting at the seams to brag about this gorgeous home. Some of the time we are two people living here and other times we are a houseful. Main living area is grand and complete with two fireplaces. Beds and bedding are wonderful, kitchen is more than adequate and we are cooking often. We are five minutes from Deer Valley Resort. We walk to downtown for dinners, shopping, etc. It [downtown] isn't just a place to get to; it's a charming walk to a vibrant Main Street. It doesn't get any better than this for experiencing home life while being a tourist! Prime location for Sundance-goers. We rent homes often all over the United States and we have learned what to look for and look out for. I came here fully confident of a great stay and the home has exceeded my expectations. Park City at this time of the year (holidays and Sundance Film Festival) is magical. Homeowner is attentive and cares about the experience of those who share his home.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the great review. It is such a pleasure to have you as a guest. It looks like you got another 8" of snow last night. I am glad hear you are enjoying Park City.

Excellent property in Park City

  • 5 of 5

This house was an excellent choice for our girlfriend group annual get-together, eight 70-year old school friends. The house was exactly as described and pictured on the website, spacious and comfortable so that there was plenty of room for visiting together. The property was clean and well-maintained and the kitchen was quite well equipped. We especially enjoyed the guided tour of the Winter Olympics facility in Park City and the Silly Sunday Market. In addition we visited the new Museum of Natural History on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City and attended a free practice/concert of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. We enjoyed restaurants such as Cisero's and Bistro 412. We had a great time!

Great big home right there near everything!

  • 5 of 5

We had 2 families and had a great time. There are 2 big master bedrooms and a bunch of beds and rooms for the teenagers and kids. We found a hidden trail that goes straight down to the Wasatch Brew Pub on Main Street right behind the houses and only 100 yards away. Loved the the big open kitchen as we cooked every night and the ping pong table in the basement was a big hit with the kids.
