Wonderful retreat

What a great place to escape from daily life and truly relax. I'm afraid to write too good a review because I don't want news of what we now see as our special place to retreat to getting out but I can't say enough wonderful things about it. The carriage house is adorable, comfortable and everything was absolutely top notch. I've been in 5 star hotels that aren't as cozy. This is a truly special place and I would recommend it to anyone. The best eggs you'll ever have. It's a perfect place for couples whose honeymoon hasn't ended no matter how many years they've been married!

We were looking for a nice place in Palisade to do some biking, hiking and wine tasting and were very happy to find this cute, beautiful cottage. The place has a lot of natural light, was very clean, very functional and we were nicely surprised with fresh local peaches in the kitchen table and the fridge was stocked with farm fresh eggs; the best eggs we've ever had.

Jackie and Frank (the hosts) were very friendly before we arrived and even more when we got there; they greeted us (and our two dogs) with valuable information about the area (bike rides, wineries, farm stands, hikes, doggy parks). We mostly dined in the cottage and were pleased that the kitchen was well stocked (it even had a coffee grinder). We had breakfast every morning in the sunny backyard and was very pleasant.

The cottage is surrounded by beautiful Colorado scenery and enjoyed walking around beautiful mature trees and the orchard in their property. The place is quiet but also conveniently located, just a short drive/bike into town.

We highly recommend this place for a nice, relaxing stay. We are definitely coming back to explore more!

Delightful cottage just a few minutes drive west of Palisades. Clean, sunny (skylight in living room) and comfortable. Quiet, night skies were clear and beautiful. Enjoyed the fresh eggs, coffee and biscotti for breakfast. Jackie and Frank are great hosts; Frank helped us with a flat tire on our bike and some minor car trouble. It was a wonderful stay.

We rented the cottage over the weekend during the Barrell Tasting in May. It was the perfect retreat. The cottage is clean and quiet, the owners are friendly, and the amenities are perfect. It's big enough for 3 adults to be comfortable. There is a charcoal grill on the patio in the back, which was perfect for hosting dinner with a couple of friends that were staying at the Wine Country Inn. The little yard in the back is fenced and quiet. The fresh eggs in the morning were the best eggs we'd had! It's a short drive or bike ride into town. If you're looking for a nice, quiet, clean, comfortable place to stay without the noise of a hotel, this place is perfect.

There's no place like Palisade

From the moment we drove into this little paradise in the heart of Colorado's wine country; we knew this was the best place to stay,We were greeted by the colorful owners,former Aspenites who go out of their way to make you feel at home.The cottage was immaculate and furnished with unique antiques , yet cozy & functional.Our fridge was stocked with farm fresh eggs from their hens & good coffee.The friendly hosts greeted us with valuable info about the area( wineries, restuarants,hikes,) & answered all our questions. We have told many friends in our area to go there for a relaxing escape.We love the place !
