Excellent Condo, Super Location, Even Better Owner!
Our family really enjoyed the opportunity to stay in this beautiful Iron Horse condo. It's adjacency to the ski way (closest building, just up one floor) was fabulous. It's an easy downhill trail to the base area- but getting back required a couple lifts. They all had difficult to easy runs, so it forced us to see the rest of the mountain- which was REALLY great! There is so much terrain here to explore- no matter your ability! the three of us were here for the NASTAR National Championships and had a great time cooking pasta in our condo, enjoying the hot tub, etc. Plenty of room for the three of us and a great dining table in which our daughter could do her homework. In fact, she was so inspired that she did a weeks worth of homework during one quiet morning- while we enjoyed the mountain. We felt like great parents knowing she was happy, safe and comfortable in our condo! We'd even ski by on the trail and wave at her every few runs... try doing that at another area! On those nights that we missed the tram back, there were buses that run every 15 min or so- and it's close enough to walk back up the road from the base area. Iron Horse is located on the "right" side of the highway and is close- but not too close- to all the rest of the area. It was quiet and beautiful. Shawn (the owner) was extremely helpful, engaged and seemed genuinely interested in helping us. Unfortunately, that's somewhat rare these days and that alone made our stay worthwhile. Coupled with his enthusiasm, a clean and homy condo and close-in, quiet location- I would not hesitate to rent here again. My family and I highly recommend this unit / owner combo!
