There's no better place to relax and unwind than in this Oceanfront Penthouse Villa on the shores of Makaiwa Bay and the 800 year old historic fish ponds at Kalahuipua'a. Enjoy spectacular views of the Kohala Coast and Maui, as well as whale watching (Dec - Mar.) while sipping Kona coffee on your spacious, private oceanfront lanai.

This exclusive villa is located in the prestigious Mauna Lani Terraces, part of the 5 Star, Eco-friendly Mauna Lani Resort property. The suite has 1500 sq. ft. with two separate master suites and 500 sq. ft. of lanai. The villa is trimmed in Honduras Mahogany and has beautiful new hardwood and travertine marble floors throughout. There is a 24' high vaulted ceiling in the living room & it is furnished with handmade carpets , antiques, and original artwork. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare a tropical gourmet meal, which you then get to enjoy while seated at the hardwood table out on the main lanai as the sun gently sets into the Pacific.

You will be 200 steps from the beach and have access to your own private Beach Club. Makaiwa Bay is home of the 'Best Snorkleing Beach on the Big Island'. In addition there is Scuba Diving, Sunset and Whale Watching Cruises, as well as guided Eco-kayak tours. Enjoy Mauna Lani's famous Francis H. Brown golf complex, which includes two 18 hole courses. You are walking distance to a well appointed gym, beachfront yoga classes, historic paths, historic fish ponds, pristine white sand beaches, and an extensive tennis facility. Experience the magical Hawaiian Healing spa treatments of Mauna Lani's world famous spa. Nearest Airport : Kailua - Kona (KOA) at 20 Miles

Private beach is 100 yards from your front door leading to Makaiwa Bay which is home to pristine coral reefs and some of the best snorkelling and scuba diving in Hawaii. Guests have access to the Private Beach Club including its cabanas and restaurant. Mauna Lani Sea Adventures offers sunset sails and whale watching cruises on its catamaran.

The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel with its outstanding Canoe Club restaurant is 5 minutes walk just next door. The community sports club and the Mauna Lani Spa are also a 5 minute walk away. There is 36 holes of championship golf available at the Francis H Brown golf complex , a short 10 minutes walk from the villa.

The Shops at Mauna Lani are a 15 minute walk up the hill and it includes many restaurants, shops, and a full service grocery store.

My wife and I recently stayed for 2 weeks. We have stayed in the area at least a dozen times and this was the nicest unit we have been to yet. Cathy met us on arrival and our entire stay was seamless. The view is outstanding, and the location is perfect for us (close to the beach and the clubhouse). We will definitely be back.

This has to be the best unit in the complex! This is my second trip there and I want to plan for more right away! The comlex,facilities and location are amazing and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. THE CONDO IS METICULOUS IN EVERYWAY! The owners take pride in what is presented to the clients and it shows and I appreciate that very much. You will everything you could posibly need for a five star experience so do not hesitate to book!

Just a short direct drive to the condo from the airport. Nice third level condo with most of the amenities of home. Very well kept-up grounds and a short jaunt to the beach. Beach club provides watersport rentals and the cabana provides food and drink.

Marvelous find! We just returned from a week here with another couple. Everything was even better than described. Lovely furnishings, exceptionally well-managed by Cathy who is very friendly and helpful, marvelous view, terrific kitchen, thoughtful touches and provisions. Would love to return. Owner very personable and informative. We enjoyed eating at some marvelous restaurants nearby, Brown's Beach House, Manta, Canoe House, and cooked some meals in-house. Excellent grocery store in the shops on resort property. Well located for driving the Kohala coast, the Waimea area, Kailua-Kona, Hamakua Coast, Saddle Road. Wonderful beaches nearby, recommend Hapuna. We stayed an extra 2 nights in Volcano village to spend some time at Kilauea Volcano, highly recommend.

We just Stayed over the Christmas Holidays and I Loved it! Family Loved it ! Great accomadations in a superb setting. The view is 100% accurate too. We just loved the short walk to either the Resort/restaurants or mutiple Beaches. The place was clean with nice decor, And the Owner , Michael , was so helpful as well as the manager/House keeper, Kathy. She kept the place very clean. We hope to stay there again and already have told some friends. Thanks!!!
