We are discretely far enough from Puerto Vallarta to escape the noise and bluster of a tourist oriented city, but still close enough to enjoy it's museums, art galleries, fantastic restaurants, a nightclub or two, and some shopping in the quaint boutiques, just around the corner. Nearby are fine golf courses, excellent tennis courts, deep sea charters for sailfish, scuba and snorkeling charters, a water park, a go-kart track, horseback riding, a motorized jungle tour, and some of the finest restaurants in the Puerto Vallarta area. Don't pass up the grilled Pollo (chicken) vendors along the highway in Bucerias; it's absolutely delicious! For sightseeing a car is almost a must. There are very modern busses available at reasonable cost, but they don't provide the travel spontaneity and independence of your own car. Both north and south of Puerto Vallarta you will find some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Mexico.

In the south the hillsides are covered with brightly colored large estates and smaller villas cantilevered out from the hillside to take in the beauty of the bay. In the north toward Punta de Mita, Sayulita, and San Pablo (San Francisco) are unspoiled beaches where, on most week days, you can walk for hours and never meet a soul. You will also find beachside palapa restaurants serving your favorite thirst quencher along with a menu of tantalizing seafood, sandwiches, etc. If you are lucky, you might find a local Mariachi band entertaining the customers.
