Guestbook comments from the owner
Julia, we are back in Loveland as of tonight. We had a great time. We left you a thank you note. We also left your residence in very clean condition, as we would want it... Thank you again, we had a great time...
Our family loves Colorado Rocky mountains and all activities they can offer: skiing, snowboarding, biking, taking trails, fishing, white water rafting. My husband and our twins were born and raised in Colorado. We love Colorado history (especially Colorado Gold Rush period), small historic mining towns, beautiful nature and abundant watchable wildlife.
We could not imagine a better location: quiet street, a walking distance to historic district, museums, shops, restaurants. Great view of the mountains, close to Clear Creek, Hot Mineral Springs. It it very close to everything - to downtown of Denver, Mountains, Skiing, White Water Rafting, Museum, Antique Shopping, Historic Mines and Mine Tours, Casinos, you name it!
Enjoy here in historic mining town of Idaho Springs everything Colorado has to offer: Gold Rush history, old mining towns, railroad history, gorgeous nature, scenic drives such as Mt Evans Scenic Byway or 'Oh, My God' Road to historic Central City, casinos, opera, tons of hiking and biking trails, whitewater rafting right here on Clear Creek, hot mineral springs pool and thermos, great skiing at Loveland and Eldora 20-35 minutes away. If you love geology and mining history you can take a guided tour at numerous historic mines in the area or visit Red Rock State Park and Amphitheater to admire unique red rock formations.
Unique benefits include Colorado School of Mines facility near by and Edgar mine. You can take a guided tour with a real hard rock miner to learn about mines, mining and minerals of the area. It has to be pre-arranged.
The cabin is so close to all restaurants, museums, antique shops, rec center, library, supermarket, post office. You do not really need a car if you do not mind yo walk or bike...
