Located on the shore of Maine's largest lake, this brand new, 2,000 square-foot, timber-frame home is ideal for a relaxing and fun-filled family vacation. Situated on 17+ acres of wooded game preserve, and located in one of Maine's most popular vacation areas, this vacation rental offers all the best that the North Woods has to offer. Start your day sitting at the breakfast bar while watching the sunrise over the lake. When evening comes, wind down by the fireplace in the living area. There are many ways to fill the time in between, as well. The home offers easy access to the lake for swimming in summer. Bring your boat and tour the lake. Golf on the course next door. Barbecue while overlooking the water; or just lounge around in the sun on the 500+ square-foot deck that wraps around the house. In winter, skiing is a favorite, with Big Squaw Mountain just five minutes to the north.

Very nice home. Well maintained. Location is excellent - in the woods on moosehead lake, only 5 minutes from town. Had a few minor problems when we first arrived, but everything was taken care of quickly. House was well equiped for us, a family with middle school and high school age children. Lots to do in the area. We were there in summer and boated, fished, atv'd, rode horses, hiked, white water rafted. Saw moose, deer, foxes and many birds. There is a fire pit by the water and a dock. It is near the train track, which comes by about once a day.
