The very modern architect’s house is situated on the outskirts of the village Almocageme, which is located about 40 kilometres west of Lisbon between Cascais and Sintra amidst a nature reserve with a wonderful view of the see. The area provides ample opportunity for hiking; golf course and tennis courts are nearby. There is also an enormous range of attractions and places of historic interest. The village of Almocageme has shops, restaurants and cafés and a lovely food market. This architect’s house is very light, open and modern furnished with a small garden and a terrace with amazing sea views. The beach of 'Adraga' is approximately 1 km away and can be reached by foot (ca.15 minutes, 3/4 mile) or by car (3 minutes). This property is ideal for those who enjoy the quietness and beauty of nature and seek to have contact with the friendly Portuguese villagers. The lush vegetation and the Atlantic Ocean make up a very mild micro-climate.

Further details: Distance from the beach Adraga (considered the 3rd beautiful beach in Europe 2003): 1 km. Other beaches: Praia Grande; Praia das Macas; Guincho, Cascais. We speak English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and of course Portuguese.

Surroudings information: Sintra is well known for its historic buildings, palaces and beautiful gardens. The Pena Palace is situated on top of the Sintra Mountain next to the Moorish Castle. It can be reached by car, bus, horse drawn carriage or on foot! It is a very steep climb and only the very fit should attempt to walk! The town itself is a very popular tourist area and has many places of interest and a tourist office. Cascais, Estoril and Lisbon provide all that you may require in the way of shops, museums, historic buildings, night-life and a casino. Further north the Mafra palace and the fishing port of Ericeira are worth a visit. Between Guincho and Adraga beaches lies the most westerly point of Europe- Cabo da Roca. A monument by the lighthouse marks the point.

It is located at the side of the main house ( modern architct house), with the same description of the situation. The ground floor offers: bedroom, bath with WC. The 1st. floor offers a spacious living/kitchen area with bed sofa and a large terrace (20 m2) with amazing sea views. You’ll have about 50 m2 living area.

    Deposit and reservation: We will accept a bank transfer of EUR 300,-€ ,The rent has to be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. In the event of cancellation up to six weeks prior to the start of your holiday we will charge 50% of the rent. We will charge the full rent for cancellations made within six weeks of the start of the holiday.
