Aloha! We are Julie and Randy and welcome to our home! We want you to enjoy the fantastic ocean views and luxury of our remodeled 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in Wailea Elua Village - a gated, 24-acre, oceanfront community on beautiful Ulua Beach in Maui.

Our home (Elua 701) is perfectly situated in the center of the Wailea Elua Village property. We are only 150 yards from Ulua beach -- just a 90 second walk to the sand and the world famous 2-mile Wailea Beach Walk that connects all the beachfront resorts along the stunning South Maui shoreline. Our condo is centrally located to the upper pool and Jacuzzi area, tennis court and putting green, as well as the newly remodeled and absolutely beautiful lower pool and pavilion area (which is right next to the beach). Additionally, since our condo is in the middle of the village we are far away from all the road noise of Wailea Alanui Drive which runs along the back of the property. Thus, whether you are relaxing inside our home or outside on the large lanai all you can hear is the surf, the birds, and the breeze in the palms.

From the moment you walk in the door of Elua 701, you will feel at home in our remodeled condo. You will see the quality touches from the granite counter tops to the cool tile flooring. The open floor plan of the main living area includes the well-stocked gourmet kitchen, the dining area with a bar and chilled wine locker, the expansive living room with an additional sitting area, and an entertainment center with a 46-inch Sony LCD wide-screen TV and a CD/DVD home theater system -- all with a fantastic ocean view.

The lanai off of the living room is huge, adding 500 square feet of outdoor space to the already spacious 1260 square feet interior area of our condo. This outdoor space is partially covered so there is always sun or shade available. The lanai also provides two lounges, a BBQ grill, and a comfortable outdoor dining area for six people. Additionally, there is an intimate bar-height table for two that is truly a special place for morning coffee and evening drinks at sunset.

The Master Suite features a new extra-large 'California King' bed, high-thread-count sheets and bedding, 26-inch LCD flat-screen television, DVD player, and over-sized spa bath towels. The large, ocean view, second bedroom has new Queen and Twin beds with high-thread-count sheets, 26-inch LCD flat-screen television, DVD player, and over-sized spa bath towels in the adjacent bathroom.

You should also know that our listing is one of the few truly “by owner” Wailea Elua Village properties on VRBO and HomeAway. Believe it or not 80% of the Elua Village listings on these sites are managed and operated by vacation rental management companies on Maui, where a guest will have no interaction with the actual owner of the condo. In contrast, Julie and I personally handle and manage every single VRBO and HomeAway inquiry and booking for Elua 701. After all, isn’t VRBO supposed to be Vacation Rental “BY OWNER”?

While Julie and I personally handle and manage all details of your booking, we also have the support of a guest services company on Maui that provides the cleaning and maintenance services required to maintain the high standards we insist upon. The support of this company is available to our guests during their stay in Elua 701 should there be a question or issue that Julie and I cannot immediately answer or resolve from our home in California.

We provide the check-in and check-out cleanings, as well as mid-stay cleaning services at 6 to 7-day intervals for longer bookings. Our home does not include daily maid service. However, if this is something you are interested in, daily maid service can be provided at an additional charge. Just ask us. Also, please note the Wailea Elua Village Homeowner’s Association requires a minimum stay of 5 nights for all vacation rentals.

Aloha!

We were married on the beach in Maui, in a wonderful little ceremony attended by just ourselves and our parents. That was back in 1990 and over the years we have absolutely fallen in love with Maui, especially the south (Kihei/Wailea) side. While we are currently still 'tied to our jobs' on the mainland, our plan is to 'someday' retire to Maui. In the meantime, we would love to share our home with you.

We chose the Wailea Elua Village for many reasons. Elua is a gated, oceanfront complex situated on a gorgeous, white sand beach called Ulua Beach. Additionally, the grounds at Elua are absolutely spectacular with orchids growing on almost every tree. Also, we love SCUBA diving, and Elua Village is less than 1-1/2 miles from the Kihei Boat Ramp where all the dive and snorkle boats depart for Molokini Crater and all the other great South Maui dive sites! Finally... that beach we were married on... was Ulua!!

The location of our unit (#701) in the Elua Village is perfect! It is marked by the green pin on the map to the right. Click on the 'satellite' button and then zoom in to see our exact location in the village. We are centrally located, less than 150 yards from the sand of Ulua Beach, as well as the newly remodeled main pool and pavilion area for the Elua Village complex. We are even closer to the mid-village pool and jacuzzi area (which is hardly ever crowded because everyone goes to the new pool/pavilion that is on the beach!) Our location in the village very quiet because we are far away from the road noise of Wailea Alanui Road at the back of the complex. Finally, we have a wonderful ocean view from our huge lanai (which is over 500 square feet!)

FELT LIKE HOME!

Our trip to Maui was greatly enhanced by our accomodations in this beautiful condo. It is spacious, comfortable and very attractively decorated. We really enjoyed having most of our meals here: the kitchen is well equipped: plenty of dishes, glassware and utensils and cook ware. I particularly enjoyed our home cooked meals out on the lanai where we could savor the views. The owners have put a great deal of thought and care into this home: their attention to detail and creating a truly comfortable home felt just right; we especially enjoyed the privacy, the quiet and the views. Not to mention the very comfortable beds, state of art washer and dryer and plenty of closet space. And that is just the inside! The grounds, landscaping, pools and access to the beach were excellent. I particularly appreciated the respect for quiet in the common areas; during our week here it appeared that other guests [and this includes families with youngsters] were courteous and respectful of the property and other guests. The property is very well managed and immaculately maintained.

I can't wait to return to Maui and I will definitely come back to Elau. It feels like home!

THIS CONDO SHOULD BE ON YOUR FINAL LIST

If you are going to Wailea and not staying at one of the high-end properties this condo should be on your final list to consider. Here is why we will be back.

Randy, the owner, is professional and efficient to work with but most of all he brings a personal, caring touch that you do not get working with the management companies who serve the area. Price wise it is a good value for a quality property with easy beach access. The unit is comfortably and appropriately furnished for a beach setting. It easily accommodated our multi-generational family: a retired couple; a young under 40 professional couple; and their 2 1/2 old daughter. The kitchen is probably the best supplied we have experienced in over 20-years of travel to Hawaii. There is a separate wine refrigerator and a great selection of wine glasses you rarely see. The grounds are almost arboretum like in appearance and extremely well maintained; they have their own nursery. The high chairs on the lania offer a dramatic view through the palm trees to the ocean; the closer to the ocean you get the less dramatic the view. The beach is second to none; soft sand with a clean ocean bottom, the break is pretty gentle. Off to one side snorkeler's and divers come and go on a regular basis. We came from Dr. Beach's #1 beach for this year which was on Oahu and this beach was far better. The Ocean Walk toward Polo Beach is probably my favorite early morning running path in the country. If you go to the beach directly below the property and head in the opposite direction of the Ocean Walk you will enjoy an excellent beach walk of several miles. You can barefoot it all the way. The Pavilion pool area has lounge chairs overlooking the ocean which is only a few yards away with outdoor showers so you can go back and forth. There are security gates which protect the pool area from non-guests.

Do yourself a favor; stay here at least once.

ALREADY BOOKED FOR NEXT YEAR!

This was our third trip to Maui, and we knew we wanted to be on the beaches of Wailea--our favorite spot on the island. We were thrilled with the property. The grounds are gorgeous, quiet and lush. We loved our ocean view and the large lanai that had both sun and shade to please the whole family. The kitchen was so well stocked we were able to cook as if at home--and the grill worked great. The beds were pleasantly firm, which is hard to find these days. The condo is well cared for and the owners are very hospitable and quick to respond to queries. We were so pleased with the place that we literally booked for the following year while there!

MAGNIFICENT STAY IN PARADISE!

Paradise, absolute paradise! Our family, enjoyed our Hawaiian
vacation immensely! We would return in a heartbeat to this beautiful,
comfortable and very relaxing condo, the lovely and quiet Elua Village and
magnificent Maui! Our only regret is that one week is an inadequate amount
of time to enjoy paradise!

From the time we checked in to the Elua Village to our departure, we were
greeted with smiles from the entire staff. Everyone was so very nice and
helpful. The checking in and out process could not have been easier or gone
smoother! This beautiful, clean and comfortable condo was a wonderful place to stay and fully
stocked with everything we needed and more. We simply can not think of
anything that could be added to make it better. We loved having our breakfast on the spacious lanai overlooking the ocean, what a wonderful way to wake up each day!

The Elua Village is a lovely place to stay with its beautiful grounds,
unbelievable beach and quiet, relaxing atmosphere! It was everything we
hoped for and enjoyed every minute of our time there!

The owners prompt emails, recommendations and friendliness added to a wonderful stay! We will surely stay at this wonderful condo again when we plan
our next Hawaiian getaway! We will also be telling our friends and family
about our wonderful stay in Paradise!

PERFECT PLACE, PERFECT LOCATION, PERFECT WAY TO CELEBRATE A 60TH AND 70TH BIRTHDAY!!!!I

I was turning 70, my friend 60, we had to celebrate in a special place...so I chose Wailea, as I had been many places in the world, but always returned to it, one of my favorites.... my friend had never been west of NY!!!! So I began a search for the perfect rental for the 4 of us.
It had to be on my favorite beach walk, a short walk to a beautiful beach, a comfortable and nice condo with landscaping representative of Hawaii - its flowers and tropical trees that are so uniquely Hawaii!! And close to shopping and some of our favorite water activities. ONLY ELUA VILLAGE met all the requirements and more.....!!!
The condo was perfect in every way: clean, nicely updated, comfortable, all the necessities....no "surprises"! The pictures and descriptions were totally accurate. Our favorite place was on the lanai, looking out over the ocean and an incredible landscape, watching the whales, sipping our morning coffee, and knowing we were in paradise.
I would go on and on with acculades but not necessary...the place speaks for itself and so do the numerous great reviews. I would definitely recommend it to friends and hope to return in the near future.
The thing that mattered most to me about the whole process was the way the owner took total control from the beginning of all the details -step by step-professionally, accurately, securely handling deposits, answering any/all questions immediately,etc. As I said in the beginning - no surprises - we knew what was expected of us and when, and likewise, the owner responded and provided all as we expected - and checked in with us at appropriate times to be sure all was well!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this unit. It is near all the large hotels, restraurants and golf courses in Wailea. The unit is very well-appointed and has everything you need for a vacation on Maui. The owners of the unit couldn't have been more helpful in making sure that everything was to our satisfaction as well as making suggestions for restaurants and outdoor activities. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this unit to other renters.
