cottage with spectacular never before seen views of Oahu's tallest mountain (Mt. Kaala). We are located near Waialua's sugar mill, two miles from the beach and about 1.75 miles from the famous Surf Haleiwa town, where you'll find shopping and dining options. We are approximately 30 minutes from Honolulu airport, and 40 minutes from Honolulu. If you love the outdoors, and all it has to offer, this is the spot for you.
The setting is quaint and quiet with the charm of a traditional plantation neighborhood. Amenities provided: cable TV with DVD player, wireless high-speed Internet connection, pots/pans, bakeware, toaster oven, microwave, blender, hot plate for cooking, fridge/freezer with ice maker, extra linens, towels, beach towels, beach cooler, queen-size bed, and private garden lanai. Street parking in quiet, safe neighborhood. The cottage is a completely separate unit, adjacent to the main house with its own private entrance. Your view is of the fields and mountain range beholden to Oahu's tallest peak. It is a rejuvenating spot.
Great location to enjoy all the North Shore has to offer, while at the same time close to main highway to Honolulu (40 minutes away).
Three night minimum. Deposit required. One time cleaning fee of $85.
Being the first time using VRBO, I was a little leery. Wayne the owner, quickly put my worries at ease. He is the kind, friendly and helpful. It is wonderful to have the owner just next door in case you need anything or just to get suggestions on beaches or restaurants. No worries about privacy, he lets you enjoy your own, but he is just a door knock away. The cottage is very nicely furnished in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well equipped with like-new appliances and is very well maintained. The beach towels, coolers and all the other beach equipment is an added bonus. The North Shore beaches and the surf town of Haleiwa is just a short drive away. Visits to Kaena Point or the Waimea Valley are a must if you are into nature and scenery. Enjoy your coffee on the lanai while taking in the mountain views. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again. Thanks to Wayne and Frances for sharing their little part of paradise.
This cottage was the perfect romantic retreat for us. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but it's close to resturants and beautiful north shore beaches. It's the perfect place for our adventures. The owner Wayne was a wonderful host. He came out as we arrived and gave us the tour of all the cottage accommodations and made sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable. There were a couple Oahu guide books, nearby resturant menus and other helpful information along with plush beach towel, a small cooler, chairs, snorkel gear, etc. the kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need to cook some meals if you desire, and there's a bbq and table outside to enjoy the beautiful mountain view.
I really can't say enough good things about this place! We're already saving for a trip back!
When the bride and groom, who live on he north shore but who's families are from the mainland, went about the challenge of identifying possible living accommodations for their Feb wedding, they created a website that included what would be typical of the commercial Honolulu, Turtle Bay, suggestions. They also did a search of possible VRBO listings closer to their north shore wedding venue. We were so happy that we identified and selected Wayne and Frances's vrbo listing. Initially the Cozy North Shore Cottage looked like a bonus solely because of their location and proximity to the couple's home and the wedding. What made it even more comfortable were the amenities that they include as part of the north shore experience. Beside the fully furnished kitchen, their were beach chairs, snorkel equip, boogie boards, etc. that allowed us to be part of all of the beach experiences that were part of the pre planned wedding week activities. We are not surfers' but we loved the comfortable beach vibe of the towns of Waialua and Haleiwa. Our trip to the east showed us surf that we are not familiar with. Our trip to the northwest shore gave us a familiar beach break that was more common to eastern US, just bigger. We loved our week in HI, and one of the nicest comforts was returning home each night to the cottage that gave us everything. Thanks Wayne and Frances.
Great place, very clean, with lot of details and amazing views, i highly recomend this studio, the owners are very nice
We loved the cottage. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to see. I would come back and stay here again. Thanks Wayne!
My Husband and I had a most lovely 10th Anniversary stay here last summer. The location is perfect!! Close to amazing beaches, major roadways to reach the rest of the island and moments from Haliwea. We enjoyed visiting the near by coffee plants, soap factory and pineapple plantations. The parking was great and we enjoyed our breakfasts on the patios. The space is perfect for two and enjoyed the shared items like movies and beach chairs! We cooked most our meals in the cottage and really found the kitchen to be so nicely stocked. The hosts were wonderful and helpful with all our questions. We would for sure return!
