Great Family Reunion House

Fantastic vacation home and the pictures do not do it justice. We have rented 4 houses over the last 6 years in Blairsville, all on the lake with at least 5 bedrooms and this may have been the nicest one yet.
Pros: Feels very warm and inviting. Smells brand new and was very clean. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. The bathrooms are large, the shower heads are awesome, the water pressure is good as well as the drainage. Basement area has a full kitchen. Basement bedroom has double queen bunks. Lots of parking on a smooth concrete surface with a large additional grass/gravel parking area. Very flat back yard leading to lake. A lot of cut wood for the fireplace or fire pit. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have there own central a/c control and the other two levels had their own A/C as well. Very large fridge on the main level. The hot tub is a great addition as well as the outdoor heated shower near the hot tub. There is also a great picnic deck down near the dock. The outdoor garbage storage unit was really nice. The gas BBQ was nice and fully stocked with propane.
Cons: Driveway is steep. Wireless internet would not work. No HD for the two 50" plasmas. Lawn was not mowed before we arrived. The small ramp that led to the dock was broken. The ladder on the dock is broken not usable. No lights on the dock which made it difficult for night cruises. The downstairs kitchen had nothing in any of the cabinets. The main level ice maker was broken, but 2 bags of ice were provided. No blender, mixer, spices, not very many large pots and bowls. Limited supply of trash bags, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and toilet paper all of which should be standard and plentiful. No staples of any kind (mustard, mayo, ketchup). The bed we slept on had silk sheets which were not very comfy, it would have been nice to have extra bedding to switch out. Several light bulbs out esp. in the bathrooms. 2 chairs were broken before we got there. House could be stocked with more linens, blankets and towels. A garbage disposal in the main kitchen would be a plus. Thin bath rugs would be nice as well. Just the little things did not live up to the expectations. I know they may be minor but every other house that we rented in the last few years all had these amenities. It was hard trying to cook for a large group with no spices and limited pots and pans. The last thing you want to do on vacation is stock the house with stuff you can't bring home on the plane.

Owner's Response: We are so appreciative of all compliments and the informative information. We supply the cabin with a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags. All food and extra supplies can be purchased just a couple miles down the road at Bi-Lo's or Walmart. No food can be put down the sinks since we are on septic and not able to accommodate a garbage disposal so extra trash bags come in handy. Both kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes so borrowing from one kitchen to another is no problem. The main refrigerator icemaker is making plenty of ice so fill your glasses.
