This house is situated adjacent to National Forest Service land, with direct views of the Continental Divide and Arapahoe Glacier, as well as 360 degree views of the Great Plains and surrounding mountains. The location is both private and inspiring, and is perfect for retreats, family gatherings, or a romantic getaway. This is a luxury home with all the comfort of a hotel, but better! The home itself is fully-equipped for a luxurious vacation, while also being inspiring enough for a personal retreat. Enjoy cooking in the modern kitchen, lounging on one of three decks, or soaking in the over-sized bathtub or steam shower. The kids will enjoy the giant sandbox and the zip-line outside, or playing in the fenced-in yard. Groups can gather inside the versatile Great Room or relax by the wood stove in the living room. Enjoy the star-filled Colorado sky with our telescope, sleep well under the fine linens and cozy duvets, and then wake with deer and hummingbirds right outside.

While staying here you can enjoy a wide variety of activities. Hike, mountain bike, or ski right from the door, or take a short drive to the trail heads in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Nearby Eldora Mountain Resort provides excellent, family-friendly snowboarding or skiing. You can visit the historic mining community of Gold Hill, only one mile away, and enjoy fine dining and excellent concerts at the Gold Hill Inn. Boulder is only ten miles away (a 25 minute drive), and Denver is also easily accessible.

Gorgeous views & Great House

Lillian and Nick have a gorgeous property, with postcard-like views from every window. They were gracious hosts to us and our dogs, and provided everything we needed.

The home is as nice as it appears in the photos, but the views and land around it (including the huge fenced yard and decks) are even better than the pictures! The house is well-appointed, with lovely bathrooms, nice towels and linens, a fully-equipped high-end kitchen, and even a fun ping pong table and a decent book selection (should you get snowed in as we were). We felt like we were staying at a friend's home instead of renting, and hope to come back as frequently as possible.

Boulder is a short drive away if you need or want anything from a city, but Gold Hill feels like you are truly away from it all up in the mountains. Just perfect!

Absolutely wonderful home, and great escape for our family. If you want some down time, seclusion, picturesque views of the intercontinental divide, and can handle a half dozen deer in the yard every other morning, this is the place. And yet you're only 20 minutes from Boulder. Great fenced back yard, ping pong table, and wrap-around decks. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at this truly special mountain getaway. After an evening arrival we awoke to stunning views from every window and total serenity outside. The house is luxurious and equipped with every amenity while remaining unpretentious and comfortable. We were able to take a much needed break from our busy routine to soak up nature and spend quality time with our 4 young children. The zip line and sand box provided plenty of outside entertainment while at night we enjoyed playing board games and having meals together. This is clearly a much loved home that we HIGHLY recommend. A peaceful, lovely retreat! Many, many thanks from Lynn, Brian and kids ~ Boulder, CO

What a wonderful home. It is true to its advertisement. We came to Colorado for my nephew's wedding, my family from Maryland, my parents from Alabama, and my brother who lives in Aurora. We didn't want to leave the mountain to go to the wedding, but we did. We all fell in love with Colorado. The warmth of the owners is all so ever present throughout the amenities and the choice in furnishings. We really enjoyed the ping pong table and my great nephew’s hands had to be sore for going on the zip line all day. It was a pleasure staying at this site. ? I would recommend and have recommended it to others. You will not be dissatisfied with this house!

What can I say other than AWESOME! The views are amazing, the house exquisite, and the owners nothing but a joy to do business with. We used the house for a University of Colorado reunion of sorts (class of 1984) and the house easily and comfortably held all 7 of us. We loved it so much that our group is talking of coming back next year but for a longer stay so that we can spend more time in Gold Hill hiking and biking the mountains, and relaxing on the deck to enjoy the views. If you're looking for a mountain getaway that is not too far from the hustle and bustle of Boulder (~1/2 hrs drive), I highly recommend this place.
