Perfect Getaway Location

Miranda Chicago, IL
Review Submitted: July 12, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
I stayed in the studio this June for a long weekend. The property was beautiful, well-designed, and well-maintained. The owner seemed very nice in my brief encounter with her. The location was great - out of the city center, but not too far away. I especially loved that the wall facing out into the private courtyard was a giant sliding glass door. In a small space, it was perfect to be able to have one whole wall open (visually and physically) to the outside.

Can't recommend this property enough and hope to visit it again next time I'm in Santa Fe!

Very cool place

atxdan Austin, TX
Review Submitted: August 31, 2010 Date of Stay: August 2010
This casita was perfect for the two of us - very stylish, clean, and above all - relaxing. The place had a zen-like feel to it. We loved the design and generous amenities. Tushita is a talented designer, and she was very friendly and informative. If you are a decent walker, getting to Canyon Road by foot is no problem. We enjoyed making a small fire in the chiminea at night when it got chilly. Note: At the casita, our mobile-phone service with AT&T was almost non-existent, but luckily there was a land-line with free long distance calling. The Wi-Fi worked fine. We would love to return here the next time we come to Santa Fe.

Lovely studio, wonderful location

Lisa & Art Pittsburgh, PA
Review Submitted: July 23, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010
My husband and I just spent a relaxing week at Studio East. The studio is well designed and gives a sense of peace and serenity. The bed is comfortable and elegant touches such as fresh flowers and organic coffee beans are thoughtful and well done. My husband was especially delighted to find a moka pot for his morning coffee. The area is quiet, but very close to vibrant downtown Santa Fe. It's also a great base from which to explore the sights of New Mexico. We traveled to Taos, Bandalier National Monument and hiked in the Santa Fe National forest, returning each evening to this wonderful retreat. I didn't cook, (it's my vacation, too!) but we had several take out meals in the courtyard because we just didn't want to leave! Highly recommended!! Tushita is the perfect host - helpful when needed, but unobtrusive.

Best studio in Santa Fe

Westie Lover St Joseph
Review Submitted: May 9, 2010 Date of Stay: May 2010
My husband and I stayed here and found it to be a wonderful experience. We could not have found a better rental in all of Santa Fe. The studio is bright and cheerful, tidy and clean. The location is good. The town is within walking distance if you are a good walker. If not, take a car. It is about 5 minutes away but parking can be an issue.

The owner is good to do business with. I would recommend this property to any one. It is small and not suited to more than two people. Santa Fe is a great location with plenty of excellent restaurants and lots of things to see. Site Santa Fe is a must see if you are an art lover - real art, that is. The Rail Yard is fun, too but has a way to go.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: The Studio is about a 5 or 6 minute walk to Canyon Road's galleries, restaurants and shopping and about a 5 minute drive to the Plaza. I always recommend renting a car because there's so much to see and do outside of the city center.

Wonderful Retreat

Kathleen and Tom Brooklyn, NY
Review Submitted: July 27, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We just spent a week at Studio East, and as other reviewers have indicated, it is all that is listed and much more. Tushita has thought of everything in this wonderfully comfortable, beautiful, quiet and serene space. The studio is near Canyon Road and Museum Hill, and only minutes from the Plaza, but worlds away. There were lovely touches like gourmet coffee and fresh flowers upon arrival, and plenty of guidebooks for local sightseeing. On a clear night, sit in the private courtyard and enjoy the thousands of stars! We look forward to a return visit!
