michael jacks purchased this condo in 2007
After visiting PV for decades we decided that it was time to find something to call
a second home. It was love at first sight. We bought it the day that we first saw it.
Peace of mind due to the high level of security
The joy of waking up to such a beautiful view
The joy of relative seclusion from the madness of crowds
Surprised by the number of extremely high quality restaurants within a twenty minute drive
Just returned from my third visit and it is just as amazing, even better, than before. The villa is even more beautiful than shown (see other comments). Lots of room, great kitchen, views of Puerto Vallarta, stunning at night, a beach out front, stunning pools and all the peace and tranquility you could hope for.
What made this trip better is the entire area around Esmeralda has improved. The towns of Bucerias and Sayulita show a marked improvement. They are cleaner and livelier than before. Lots of fun places to eat; even the street food is great.
Had a banner fishing day out of PV aboard one of the Masters' boat company; trophy rooster fish! Golfed near Punta Mita. It's as nice a locale as I've visitied and I"ve stayed in many first-class resorts around the world.
Description and pictures of condo were spot on....there were 7 of us, and all 4 bedrooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed...
the view from the patio out to the Bay of Banderas was incredible, and to enjoy the view from the infinity pool with a pina colada was something else!
condo was clean, and well-stocked....kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQ, and drinks...
housekeeping and property manager were just a phone call away should we have needed them, but we were fine, as nothing needed attention.
we would recommend this property for anyone wanting a care-free resort vacation
anyone visiting be sure to check out all the restaurants nearby in Bucerias and La Cruz, as well the snack-shack at the resort, where the menu was huge, and the food really good
This property is easily reached via a relatively quick taxi ride from the Puerto Vallarta airport. The on property staff greeted us warmly and were available to us for any questions that we may have had concerning our visit. The property is gorgeous and very, very well maintained. The landscaping is beautiful. The unit itself is beautifully decorated and spotless. The bedrooms support any type of sleeping arrangements you might require with a variety of king and twin beds. There are plenty of bathrooms and a wonderful, fully equipped kitchen. You are within steps of the beach and there are several pools on the property where you can relax, read a book, etc. There is also a restaurant with great food and drink. There are towns and restaurants within walking distance if you choose or the staff at the guard desk are only too happy to call you a taxi if you want to explore some of the attractions further away. The unit contains many pamphlet's and guides to help you decide how to spend your time. All in all, a wonderful place to spend a vacation. We highly recommend it!!!
This is a wonderful home in paradise! The photos attracted us but the reality is even more spectacular. Tastefully decorated, meticulously maintained, comfortable beds and furniture, spacious great room with a full open wall to the ocean view (or nicely shaded by the electrically powered shades), well appointed kitchen, handy washer and dryer (no need to overpack) and each of the four bedrooms has its own very nice bathroom and shower. The two master suites, one with a huge tub, have unobstructed ocean/beach views with easy access to the patio. It's easy to spend too much time on that patio: great view, big deep infinity plunge pool, nice cushioned chaises with umbrellas and a shaded dining area.
But don't. There is so much to do. It's a short stroll to a huge pool by the beach (one of the 8) or tp the workout center. Enjoy a massage on the beach seconds from that patio. Walk south on the beach and immediately find a wonderful open air grass-roofed restaurant/bar attached to one of the pools.
Keep walking for a mile or so on the beach and you get to the quaint yet sophisticated village of Bucerias. Highly recommend Mark's Bar especially for dinner (try the smoky margerita!); don't fear the excellent tacos from the street vendors; or find a nice beach-side bar and cool off and enjoy the village.
PVR is a half hours drive south; go that far north and you can find jungle! We boated to a private, remote island (once owned by a famous director ) and dined at a private table on the torch-lit beach followed by a show rivaling Circus Soleil--all for less than $100 each. Another day we swam with and rode dolphins, Everything is reasonably priced. Google "best of Bucerias" to get an idea of how much one can see and do in this little corner of the world.
You likely will want a car-- better yet an SUV to handle the cobblestone streets in some of the more remote villages. Or call the front gate and the excellent staff will have a cab at your door. You can get most places for about $10, about $40 to the airport, maybe $50 to Puerto Vallarta. Don't forget to tip the gate staff! I am coming back many more times and I want them to be happy!
My husband and I, along with our three adult children and their significant others, spent a week in this beautiful condo. The views from the living room and outdoor patio were breath-taking and the location was perfect. We enjoyed the resort; a couple of us had massages, some played tennis, and others spent time at the gym. We all loved the various pools, including our private infinity pool.
We walked down the beach several times to spend time in downtown Bucerias, and found it very fun and convenient, with several good, very reasonably-priced restaurants. We also spent a fun day in Sayulita, the nearby surfer town, and would highly recommend including that spot in your travels, as the town was very different from Bucerias. We also hired a local fisherman, Jesus, one day to take us fishing, snorkeling and whale watching. He and his son Rudi were very professional and made the day one of the highlights of our trip.
The owners, Mike and Robin, were responsive to our questions and provided great input as to things to do and places to go. We would highly recommend this beautiful place and intend to return sometime in the future!
Our family stayed at this amazing home for two weeks; and I have to say that this is the nicest place we have ever stayed in. It completely exceeded all of our expectations. The house is beautiful with great furnishings both indoors and outdoors. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which allows for a large group but lots of privacy. The VIEWS from the home are OUTSTANDING!! You look out of your deck and really know you are in paradise: with the waterfront views, the palm trees, the sunsets. The beach itself is excellent: great swimming and no waves (which is unusual for this part of Mexico)!
Other highlights from this amazing getaway home included:
- awesome floor to ceiling windows so you got great views from all over the house (but remote-controlled shades if you felt like you wanted some privacy)
-- great patio furniture so that we could lounge outside sipping cocktails while also taking a dip to cool off in the infinity pool
-- really well maintained front patio garden and plants, that provided shade and just a general feeling of paradise
-- 7 pools on the property if you didn't feel like swimming in the ocean
-- wonderful tennis courts (that we played on daily), gym, and spa for delightful massages
Also, we loved the location! It is only 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta (which is an easy flight from the West Coast) but you feel like you are in a whole different peaceful paradise world when you get there. The nearbye town of Bucerias (you can walk 20 minutes down the beach or drive five minutes) has great restaurants. Our particular favorite was Mezzo Giorno. And if you want a little bit of the hippy get away, you drive 20 minutes north to Sayulita for some great surfing and cafe lattes and french bakeries.
This vacation home is not to be missed!
We had a delightful week-long stay at this beautifully decorated home. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious, just like in the pictures. Unlike the nearby resorts. This resort boasts a quiet "non-touristy" atmosphere with sparsely populated clean beaches and beautiful infinity pools.
I highly recommend visiting the spa for an amazing massage! We also used the gym that overlooks the water during our stay which is a nice amenity with weights and cardio machines.
I'm glad that we rented a car so you can visit the quaint towns nearby and go to the Mega grocery to stock up on food and other necessities.
This trip exceeded our expectations and was a wonderful couples get-away for us. It's a great place for adults only get-aways or a family vacation!
Coral 2 is located in the prestigious Punta Esmeralda resort. The resort is located approximately 20 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. A short ride to the south is the cityscape of Puerto Vallarta with it's night life, tourist attractions and culture.
Fifteen minutes to the north is a completely different experience. Sayulita is a lovely, quaint Mexican village seemingly lost in time. Cobblestone streets, small stores and surf shops situated around an old time town square. The beach is broad and deep. There is both a left and right hand surf break. A stones throw from the villa is the wonderful little town of Bucerias. It offers an opportunity to shop for authentic mexican handicrafts. There are several high end restaurants and great beach shacks to satisfy your culinary desires.
The new deep water marina in Las Cruz is ten minutes away. The Polo matches in San Francisco are thirty minutes away. They shouldn't be missed.
