ARTFULLY FURNISHED CABIN OVERLOOKING YELLOWSTONE RIVER CLOSE TO YELLOWSTONE!

Gardiner Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8)

Yellowstone Riverview Cabin was built in 2007. This tastefully furnished cabin is located only 9 1/2 miles (a mere 10 minute drive) from Yellowstone Park's original entrance in Gardiner, Montana. Riverview Cabin is the perfect place for fishing the Yellowstone River with several boat launch and public access sites in close proximity. This cabin is also ideal for naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers, because it is situated in Paradise Valley, a majestically beautiful wildlife corridor directly connected to Yellowstone Park. Bighorn sheep, deer and elk can be viewed regularly.

The Great Room has a vaulted ceiling with panoramic windows to light the room with gorgeous views of Yankee Jim Canyon and the Yellowstone River. The happy hour wet bar, overstuffed furniture and custom stained glass wildlife panels are the perfect setting for relaxation after an adventurous day in our First National Park. There's room for eight at the dining room table next to a beautiful wildlife mural and comfy gas fireplace. The roll top desk is loaded with information, maps, guides and more on Yellowstone Country as well as a directory for booking raft trips, horseback rides, fishing trips etc.

There are three bedrooms - one with a king size bed, the second with a queen and the third with two sets of bunks for the kids. The den has a comfy leather sofa and there is satellite TV and lots of DVDs for all night movie enthusiasts! There is WiFi wireless internet connection for your electronic devices.

The custom designed stone kitchen has everything you need to create a gourmet dinner, including olive oil, and herbs and spices for your use. You will enjoy the gorgeous custom stained glass sunflower valances, made by the owner. It also features a breakfast bar with seating and a breakfast table.

There is an organic garden and guests are welcome to purchase fresh greens, veggies and tomatoes.

This home is well supplied - we provide linens, towels, a hair dryer, hand soaps and shampoo, dish washing soap, laundry soap, trash can liners, etc. The comfort of our guests is important to us!

Activities:

Nature lovers, photographers, young and old will love being just minutes from the two million acre playground known as Yellowstone Park. Whether it's horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, geyser gazing or fishing the Yellowstone River and its many streams, creeks, lakes and ponds - you'll find it all right at your doorstep at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin! An added bonus is private stained glass lessons at the owner's studio for those rainy days! We supply our guests with lots of information, guide books, maps, trail guides and anything that you might need to make your vacation at our home a wonderful memory!

Winter at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin:

This is a great place for a winter vacation, because it's close to Gardiner which is the only entrance to Yellowstone Park that is car-accessible year round. That plowed road remains open all winter all the way through to Tower Falls, the Lamar Valley and Cooke City. Many groomed trails for cross-country skiing are located along this road.Xanterra Parks and Resorts offers guided snowmobile tours and snow coach tours into Yellowstone leaving from Mammoth Hot Springs, and they also rent skis and snow shoes, etc. They can be reached at 1-307-344-7311.

If you love the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains and look forward to visiting Yellowstone Park with all of its natural beauty and wildlife, you're sure to enjoy your stay at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin!

About Magdalena Beall

For 20 years John, our son Brady and I traveled from the Florida Keys to camp, hike, fish and explore Yellowstone Country. In 1998 we found the perfect spot and the three of us built our dream home and retreat. 12 years later we find Yellowstone as fascinating as it was on our first trip. We're still exploring this beautiful region finding new wilderness camping spots, blue ribbon lakes and streams and the magnificent wildlife of Yellowstone Country!

Magdalena Beall purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Magdalena Beall chose Gardiner

Yellowstone Country is truly the 'last best place.' This remote area has more wildlife residents than human ones and learning about these critters and the land they share with us is an exciting journey few people take. It's gratifying to share our place with folks and see the wonderment in their eyes after they get up close and personal with wolves and bears or sit in a natural outdoor thermal pool in Yellowstone - there's nothing like it!

What makes this cabin unique

Sunrise lights up Yellowstone's Electric Peak. Coyotes howl, elk and bighorns wander the field while an eagle glides along the river looking for a breakfast trout. Sphinx Mountain lies majestically above us and the sunset illuminates the Yellowstone River flowing through Yankee Jim Canyon. Darkness falls and the Montana sky lights up with a billion stars. As you close you eyes wolves sing you to sleep ~ goodnight! Come share the magic, the wildlife, the land - we have your home full of books, maps, info & more to make your stay one to remember! Guestbook comments from the manager

Future Guests: You are welcome to leave your comments here following your stay at the Yellowstone Riverview Cabin. There's nothing like the comments of an unbiased person who has actually stayed in the house to help put prospective renters at ease with their decision to book with us. Also, by sharing some of the fun things you did you can help people to know more about the area and the many happy ways their own time could be spent while vacationing here.

All the best!

Great time at spacious cabin

  • 5 of 5
We really enjoyed our time staying here and our visits with you. Our family was very comfortable sleeping, hanging out and cooking in this spacious "cabin." The area is so beautiful and we enjoyed our hike in the petrified forest in Tom Miner - appreciate you loaning us the bear spray - I felt eyes on me the whole hike! We have been fortunate to explore the area and see a bear, osprey Mom & chicks, bison, moose, elk and pronghorn - WOW! Wonderful memories and pictures - Lamar Valley was wonderful. We hiked Trout Lake and the wildflowers were unbelievable! We saw Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Old Faithful and, of course, Mammoth Hot Springs. We ate at Rosie's Diner in Gardiner and the Lighthouse Restaurant - both were very good! We are off today to continue our adventures and sincerely hope to be back. Good health to both of you and thanks again for the wonderful hospitality.

PS: Sage and Jack are such happy dogs - there were a joy!

Owner's Response: It was very nice meeting you and your family and it's great you got to enjoy Tom Miner and the petrified forest! Isn't that little side trip up to the forest wonderful - pristine wilderness and no people! I do agree with you about the eyes of the bear - better safe and sorry, though! Please come again...El & John

Owner's Response: It was fun meeting all of you. Thanks for helping round up that rattlesnake...John released him on the other side of the river so he's still out there alive and well to terrify other's!! Just kidding - it was fun though. Come back and see us again! Thanks!!!

Beautiful stained glass artwork in peaceful home

  • 5 of 5
The home and stained glass work is so beautiful - it was wonderful to have such a peaceful and comfortable place to be after our busy travels. Traveling for 3 weeks with 4 young children can be stressful but this is the first place we've been to that allowed us to sit, breathe and reflect in tranquility.

PS: The tour books really helped too.

Comfortable "treasure-away-from home!"

Comfortable "treasure-away-from home!"
  • 5 of 5
El and John,
We absolutely loved coming home each night to our wonderful, comfy home after a long day taking in Yellowstone - it became our priority to make it home in time to get the grill going, sit at the picnic table and be together watching the elk come down in the field. We loved talking with you and playing with the dogs and feeling truly at home in this beautiful place. I will always remember the outline of the mountains in front of us. Our final night, tonight, we had the gift of a beautiful sunset. I can't say enough how special this trip has been to our family and your cabin rooted us in a safe place while we explored so many new things. Happy we took the advice to make it to the Tetons! We did see a bison jam in Lamar and so many wonderful memories leave with us. Take care both of you! I hope to come back someday. XOXO

L.M.

PS: Thank you both for this treasure-away-from home! You both have made us feel so comfortable here in your "barn!" I've really enjoyed visiting with you guys, sharing experiences and stories and playing with Jack and Sage. If you ever venture thru Reno please look me up - I'd love to see you again.

Owner's Response: Such a pleasure to meet you and your wonderful family. It's always so great to talk with people who really "get" the Yellowstone experience. We hope you can return soon and if we are in Reno we will get in touch. Thanks so much! El & John

Lovely cabin with elk across the river every night!

  • 5 of 5
The cabin is absolutely lovely. We appreciated how much room there is for everyone to spread out - both inside and outside while enjoying a week of family time. The beds are super comfy (our boys are now asking for flannel sheets when we get home). It was amazing to see so many elk across the river every night. And, of course, we loved being so close to Yellowstone. Thanks for being so respectful as hosts in every way possible. You have a terrific set up here - we are very envious!
All our thanks~
