NEWER POCONO MOUNTAIN CHALET

I've been to the Poconos five or six times in my life.I was fortunate enough to get a rental in this home, in the winter of 2007. My family and I loved it! The house was impeccably clean, (and I've seen my share of dirty ones). The pictures that were shown online were exactly as depicted once I got here. The knotty pine furniture looked new, and kept alive the rustic feel that I love about the mountains. ( I've stayed at places where the pictures were obviously 10 or 12 years old, before the sofa cushions were torn, and the plumbing leaks began).
Both of our son's (who each got their own bedroom) favorite place to hang out was by the pool table, in the loft area, watching TV, while they ate lunch, or at the beach, riding the paddle boats.
My wife and I loved the quiet that the area offered. Deer around all day, and a view from the huge deck, of a trillion stars at night, so close that we felt as if we could just reach out and touch them, combined with the glow of even MORE deer eyes, looking up at us from below.
Diane ( the owner) was a pleasure to deal with, offering ideas as to where to get the best meals, or the best time to go to the beach (the clubhouse and basketball courts were a nice touch), and checking in with us at the end of our stay, to make sure everything was to our liking.
We will definitely make this our choice of accommodations the next time we go to the mountains. I would HIGHLY recommend this vacation rental to a family, looking for a great value for the money. With the economy the way it is, you really get the biggest bang for your buck at a beautiful home like this. I'm almost afraid to leave such a nice reveiw, for fear that the next time I choose to stay, there won't be anything available.
