Villa Escondido is comfortably tucked into the hillsides near El Yunque’s peaks. At an elevation of 600 ft above the town of Rio Grande guests can enjoy a peaceful oasis with breathtaking ocean and mountain views while lulled by the gentle trade winds. The Villa is completely furnished and provides guests with all they need to start their Caribbean vacation while offering comforts such as high speed wi-fi to keep in touch with family, flat screen TV and comfortable air conditioned bedrooms. The Villa is located at the end of a small road bordering the Rio Grande River and provides a relaxing quiet oasis. The villa is also just a short 5 minute walk to very secluded natural swimming pools and waterfalls.

Centered in the foothills above Rio Grande we are located about 20 miles (or 35 minutes) from San Juan airport, and about 22 miles from Fajardo. This central location will allow for opportunities to enjoy such things as hiking in El Yunque’s rain forest, the beaches of Luquillo, Fajardo and Pinones, the Laguna Grande biobay, sailing and snorkeling charters, fishing and diving, along with the history and charm of Old San Juan and the abundance of dining, nightlife and shopping opportunities found in the metro area of San Juan.

I've stayed at Villa Sevilla in the past (Chalet & Casita) and really loved the new Villa Escondido property. While Chalet is still my favorite, Villa Escondido is really special--everything you need, great views of Caribbean and mountains (rainbows at least 5 times while we were there!), and grapefruit tree in back yard!
