ST. AUGUSTINE FLORIDA HISTORIC DOWNTOWN VACATION HOME RENTAL

We came to St Augustine for my son's graduation from Flagler and needed space for a lot of family and friends. We had two families; both with adult married children, adult children and two 9 month olds. There was plenty of room in the main house for all. The house has that homey feel like you are just staying at a favorite grandmother’s instead of actually renting. Kitty, the property owner, provided an extra pack n play for us so my daughter didn't have to bring either of hers. Terry, the onsite manager was readily available and checked with us as our family trickled in throughout the week to see if we needed anything additional.

The front porch is full of chairs and rockers and great for sitting. My son loved sitting there because the street is traveled by students walking over from dorms and I think he always had someone walking up and sitting to talk. In the evenings his friends came over to sit on the front porch too. I didn’t realize how popular a front porch could be to the college age.

The kitchen is well stocked. I fed groups of college students who came for supper every night and was also able to have a graduation party with a hot dog bar without having to purchase anything but food and paper plates. A total of about 40 people came through during the afternoon and not at anytime were we crowded. It was even raining outside so we were confined to the house and porch.

The location is fantastic! It is a nice walk to the historic area and there are plenty of bikes provided for riding too. There are even a couple of trolley stops within about a block from the house. The public beach on Anastasia Island is about a 10 minute drive.

I left trying to think of an excuse to book the house again even if I don’t have a large party to house!
