Maine, Cliff Island Casco Bay

Stand in the living room and look out over Casco Bay, through our six, floor to ceiling picture windows, and capture the magic of Maine. Cliff Island is just three miles long and one mile wide. In the morning you might walk to the South Point, where the waves from the open ocean crash upon the native granite, In the afternoon, maybe some mackerel fishing down at the dock or swimming in the cove. The house is unpretentious but very comfortable. It’s situated on 5 mostly wooded acres, right on the shoreline with private beach which provides lots of solitude. And yet it’s an easy, 4 minute walk from the ferry wharf less than 1/4 mile away. You can see the ferry boat landing from the living room. (By the way, “meeting the noon boat” is the social event of the day.)
