Atrium Villa -- Seabrook Island

This is a gorgeous property. The view is just wonderful, as is the soothing sound of the ocean from the deck (where I spent a lot of time with a pile of good books). The condo is immaculate ... attractive, comfortable upscale furnishings ... fully-stocked kitchen ... better, if possible, than the online description. The owner is lovely and very easy to work with.

As someone who has been coming to Seabrook for about 30 years, I have seen a lot of changes and expansions that were very welcome. The recent "upgrade" of the beach club, however, takes away some of the informal/family feeling of the pool area. The new outdoor restaurant/bar is really nice, but you can't even grab a soft drink at the take-out window without an acceptable cover-up and shoes. And I really missed the loungers with the canopies. On the plus side, the mostly young Seabrook staff are unfailingly friendly, cordial and courteous.

On our first morning, we went to the Charleston Diner in Mt. Pleasant for a fantastic breakfast ... the french toast is to die for.

We spend one afternoon and evening in Charleston. Note: If you use a metered space, the meter requires feeding until 6 (not 5) p.m. as we discovered after returning to our spot off King Street and finding a $14 ticket.

We tried a new (to us) restaurant/wine bar called Social (don't know the address, but it is across from the South Street Brewery). We happened to go in during happy hour, and did a sort of tapas dinner, including some of the $3 appetizers. Excellent! They also have really cute tees for sale ... had to buy "Pinot Envy."

Another evening we went to California Dreamin'. One of my daughters graduated from USC and still lives in Columbia, so we had enjoyed the location there many times. The Charleston location, however, is right on the water. After learning that we would have an hour wait, we popped around back to the deck and snagged a table thinking we would order drinks and an appetizer, but, lo and behold, you can order from the full menu, enjoy a stunning sunset and watch boats zip around. Serendipity!

We loved this property and would definitely rent it again. I miss it already! : )

Seabrook Island is such a beautiful place. It took a little while to drive all the way to the end where the condo was located but the island is so beautiful that you dont mind the drive, especially at night because you will see deer everywhere... The Attrium Condo complex is very pretty and in an awesome location, right across from the pool, beach, club house, and restaurant... The condo was very cozy & cute and we loved the deck, it was so large and had comfortable/relaxing furniture.. Several of us took naps on the deck... My daughters loved going out on the beach at night while the tide was down and seeing all the crab running around. The only negative thing we found is that the beach is very short and during the day, the tide comes all the way up to the rocks and you really can't lay out on the beach due to no room... We visited Folly Beach and Isle of Palms while we were there and their beach area was alot larger (in comparison to Myrtle Beach).. We enjoyed our trip very much, the whole Charleston area is so beautiful and so much to see. Even the drive to the island is gorteous. The angel tree tunnel is amazing.. We just don't see those type of trees in Tennessee.. We also enjoyed the Village where the nearest grocery store, gas station, ice cream shop, clothing stores, etc were located not far outside Seabrook Island gate. If you want a very relaxing vacation with all the amenities, this is the place.....

This vacation spot is going down as one of our favorites. Plenty to do for everyone and the villa was a great option for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and the outdoor living space was large enough for our family of six to enjoy comfortably. We took advantage of our amenities passes and enjoyed both amazing pools and even took tennis lessons at the first class raquet club. We honestly plan to make this an annual event and have decided that the 5 hour drive from Raleigh is well worth it. Also wanted to mention that the villa is superbly decorated and has everything you would need in a condo.

Our only problem with out stay was the deadbolt lock was broken and it took about three days to get it fixed. I realize that Seabrook is a very safe place, but we were still uncomfortable leaving the condo unlocked.

Atrium Villa - Little slice of heaven!

We had such a wonderful vacation at this property. Everything was as described and the unit was very clean! The view is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed walking on the beach every day. This was my family's first trip to South Carolina from the Midwest and we are ready to go back tomorrow. It helped that we had 80 degree weather in March! The unit is in a great location, directly across from the main pool and the beach. We had a little bit of trouble with the lockbox and getting the keys out, but the onsite property manager was a phone call away and brought us a key within about 10 minutes. The photos on the listing are very current and the unit is very comfortable. The balcony is lovely and the furniture is great. So comfy to sit outside and listen to the crashing waves and birds. The unit has a washer and dryer which came in handy at the end of our stay. We also appreciated the beach chair we found in the closet. Nothing negative to say at all. I would, and maybe will, rent this unit again. We enjoyed spending a day in Charleston and recommend the 90 minute harbor tour. Shopping in downtown Charleston is also great. My teenage daughter loved it. We ate at the Fat Hen which is on John's Island heading into Seabrook. Very good. Traffic driving through Charleston is pretty congested. There is currently construction on I-17 and it was crawling on our way out so check that first, and if possible find another route. Highly recommend not only Seabrook Island, but this unit specifically for a great getaway. Thank you!
