Lago Vista Vacation Rental condo

My husband and I stayed in this condo late Sept/early Oct and found it to be as described. It was comfortable, with a good view of the lake. What we were not told was that it is two doors along from the bar/grill/karaoke which stays open til 2.00am at the weekends, so be prepared for noise - not so much from the music but from when the patrons are leaving. We also found that the whole complex felt a "bit neglected" and in need of some TLC e.g. the paint on part of the ceiling of the indoor pool was peeling, a couple of the sunloungers were broken, weeds growing on the shuffleboards.

We would also recommend that you make sure you get all the information needed from the owner before you go. If your trip straddles two months make sure you are given two entry codes for the main gate as it changes at the beginning of each month and you could be left stranded outside the complex (like we were!). Also get directions to the indoor pool complex - we eventually worked it out ourselves.

The complex is on a very quiet part of Lake Travis with the nearest store being about 20 mins away - no stores on site.

If you're into watersports, would recommend checking the water level of the lake as it was 37ft below normal when we were there - the Island is no longer an island with water only on one side of the complex so launching a boat could prove a bit of a problem.
