Booking starts for winter 2015/16 on 9/1/2015. This charming guest house was built in 2005. It is a single-level private retreat, a rare find in the Scottsdale area. Escape the hustle and bustle of condominium-style living. There is no one living above or below. Forget those long walks to your parking space. And no common living walls, from the main house.
This is a dedicated vacation rental,so you won`t have to deal with other people`s stuff.
You have your own private fenced back yard, and a direct access one-car garage. The living room and bedroom are fully carpeted, and the bedroom has a comfortable Pillow-top queen-size mattress set, and a large closet. The delightful kitchen with breakfast bar is well equipped, refrigerator with ice maker, cook top, microwave/convection oven. Also you have your own full-size stacked washer/dryer. The pleasure of staying in this guest house increased every day for the two months I was there. The house was charming and easy to keep in order due to the more than adequate storage and garage. The small patio was the tranquil spot for my dog and me especially at the start and end of the day. The landsçaping of the entire complex is quite lovely with flowering trees and plants. Even humming birds like to hang around. The guest cottage, a freestanding structure, is only a few years old. I appreciated the neighborhood location a block from greenbelt and golf course trails that continue for miles. El Dorado Park and lake is within easy walking distance as is the El Dorado Recreation Center where I took water aerobics every weekday morning. Finally the charming Robert Intemann is a terrific landlord who seemingly anticipates every question or need. He has an informative notebook chockfull of excellent information. Scottsdale is overflowing with not to be missed restaurants, galleries, hiking trails and museums. Anyone who stays at the guest house is in for a comfortable, enjoyable visit.
Bob is a very attentive & gracious host who goes to great lengths to accommodate his guests. You will find his guest house a wonderful place to stay and relax. The "topper" is the lovely backyard area which reminds you of somewhere up in Northern Arizona rather than Phoenix. A walk through the neighborhood reveals calming water canals and the parks nearby. I must mention his friendly neighbor, Steve, who makes you feel at home in the neighborhood as well.
Stayed for 8 weeks due to a work commitment in Phoenix. This guesthouse is close to it all - near 202 and 101, Tempe Marketplace and Old Town Scottsdale. Quiet little street next to the green belt- bring your frisbees to disc golf just down the trail or your running shoes for a nice jog. Bikes were provided as part of the rental for a pedal around. I didn't cook much- free meals at work- but the kitchen was just right. A nice grill out back is perfect for a patio dinner. If you're thin you may want to pack some cushion for your tush- mattress is too firm for a BMI under 25.
We especially appredciated the two usable bikes, the cleanness and the pratically equipped bath.

We loved the cute guest house. It was a comfortable home away from home for us during January. We found everything to be as advertised or much better than that. We enjoyed the like-new environment, personal decorating touches, and cleanliness. The owner's hospitality and the quality of the accommodations were a huge factor in making our stay in Scottsdale quite enjoyable. The private patio/garden area added a lot to the ambience (complete with hummingbirds). The property is very well planned for guests and the owner seems to have thought of, and provided, everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
It was the perfect location: attractive, secure, easy car access and parking, and near the bike trails and attractions. We have stayed at several vacation rentals and this is a true gem.

My wife and I have just 11 nights in this well-located guest house. It was a breeze to get around the area with excellent transport connections.
Before our stay, I had considerable contact with the owner. The responses I received were prompt and business-like, inspiring confidence that we were going to have an enjoyable stay.
The property is accurately described and we found it to be very comfortable. The living space is spacious and welcoming. The kitchen, whilst small, provides every facility needed for a self-catering holiday. The bedroom is smartly furnished with plenty of storage. The bathroom is modern with a shower and bath. The wifi proved to be a real boon.. We made use of the garage which was handy. We didn’t use the bikes but they looked in very good condition and cycle helmets were available.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to future holiday makers. You will be assured of a relaxing holiday.
