Enjoy the Eastern Shore's quiet and relaxed atmosphere. If you've never been to the Eastern Shore, you're in for a treat. If you are a veteran of Chesapeake Bay, then you already know. Fairlee Point offers all the amenities of home as well as great views, waterfront living, and a private dock for your boat. Fairlee Point has a 100-foot dock capable of handling large boats with drafts up to four feet. There is water and electricity (110V 20W) on the dock. Bring your boat. This is the perfect place to hit the bay from. The property sits atop a 30-foot bluff with lighted stairs going to the dock. It's just a short cruise from the dock to Chesapeake Bay. Fairlee Point is a perfect location for those who like to be near the water. The house has great views of the bay from the living room, master bedroom downstairs, and three bedrooms upstairs. It also offers a TV room, a washer and dryer, a fully-equipped kitchen, three full baths, a screened porch, and a wood deck.

Fairlee Point is on Fairlee Creek on the Eastern Shore across Chesapeake Bay from Baltimore. It is a short boat ride past Great Oak Marina to the open bay. In addition to the bay, Fairlee Point offers access to the many historic sites of Kent County Maryland. Check out the historic activities of Chestertown which has done a great job of being both a vacation place and a small home town.

Water Sports: Fairlee Point offers a private 100 foot dock that is within easy access to a local boat ramp. Bring your boat for skiing on Fairlee Creek, canoeing up the quiet bays, or fishing in the open Chesapeake (10 minutes away). If you love sailing you can sail all day on Fairlee Creek or the open bay and return to the comfort of Fairlee Point at night. For power boaters there is a fueling dock at nearby Great Oak Marina.

For three years we have been annually taking a vacation to Fairlee Point. It is one of the nicest and most comfortable places we have stayed it. We love the house, the peaceful walks in the early morning, the wildlife, and of course the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay. There is much to see or not if you prefer just to relax. For anyone needing a haven or a very enjoyable getaway, this is the place. Fairlee Point is magical.

Card Club Weekend at Fairlee Point

7 old friends in a card club spent a great weekend at Fairlee Point. 2 women with bad knees shared a king sized bed in the lovely Master Suite on the 1st floor. My husband and I took the middle room upstairs, and 2 others had private rooms. Oh, our TV addict guy slept in the family room on the couch.

The Great Room really lived up to its name. We could sit in quiet comfort to read, we played cards and ate at the dining table and we darn near wore out the kitchen! I made pies, my husband did a meat loaf and others did thier parts (we overate). The small appliances, utensils, cook and bakeware, dishes and lots of glasses kept us very happy.

So many homelike touches. We had brought lots of books and games and found plenty of both already in the house.

Lovely, well-kept grounds made walking a pleasure. We had no boat, but enjoyed walking on the pier and listening to wild geese. We walked a short distance to a public boat launching area and were greeted by friendly neighbors.

Shopping was nearby and more than adequate. I'm trying to talk my son into renting it for a week in the summer for his kids, grandkids and, of course, us!
