Sometimes you just got lucky!
On Thursday I emailed Kim (owner) and Saturday morning we were on the road! This little cottage was everything (and more) we needed. The way it has been renovated, the use of pale blue and white colors, puts you right on "vacation mood".
The location could barely get better. You have this little sandy beach on the bay 20 yards away were you can go relax. A five minutes drive and you can spend time on some of the East Coast best Ocean Beaches. Seriously!
Another big plus: Hampton Bay is not East Hamptons, meaning you don't feel like being on a "sandy upper east side". Personally I was glad not to have to mingled with "flip flop wearing snobs" for a week.
But of course, you still have great diner options with ocean views.
I can't wait to go back.

Cute cottage

This nice little cottage was such the right house at the right place were we needed it after our busy sigthseeing-trip in New York. The view from the house was beautiful we could see the water and been in a few steps right at the beach. Inside the cottage was everything we needed and it was so comfortable living there and it was also clean and everything was new!
We were able to see the whole island because every destinaton was no longer than about 30 to 60 min away. We also recieved many hints/advices were to got for breakfast or dinner and a lot more:)
So I really suggest it to everybody who is looking for something special for their vacation.

What a location

What a beautiful cottage. Located just 20yrds from the beach the cottage provided for everything. My wife and stayed their with our 11mth old daughter and it was just perfect. The cottage has been very tastefully decorated and comes with all the expected amenities, cable, washer/dryer, bbq, shower, fridge/freezer and microwave.
The owners were more than helpful when asking questions and very easy to contact with a good turn around time in replying to questions. They we're very easy to contact when we needed to find out about the a/c in the cottage.
The cottage itself is situated a 20yr flat walk to a beautiful private beach over looking the bay. We we're 5 mins drive from 2 great lobster restaurants, and only 15mins from the world famous Lobster Inn.
Our first visit to the Hampton's and the area we stayed, Hampton Bays provides for everything we could want, the usual shopping mall, Irish bars and a great pizzeria in Francesca's best in the world, ask for Phil DeVincenzo and ask for the ETG special!!!!! Southampton is a short drive away and a must visit is to Tate's Bakery. If you like cookies, cakes, bread then this is the place.
We had the most wonderful time there and look forward to visiting again.
