We have the July 4th week (June 29 through July 6) available for $1050 plus tax. The week of August 17-24 available for discount to $925 plus tax. Family home ideal for one or two families. Comfortably sleeps 9.  Master bedroom with queen bed, single bed and half-bath, one bedroom with queen bed, one bedroom with two queen beds. Dining space for 10 with 6 at table and 4 at bar. Fully equipped kitchen. Living area comfortably seats 6. Two covered porches with chairs and/or rockers. Full garage accommodates 2 cars parked bumper-to-bumper. Enclosed outdoor shower with hot/cold water, washer and dryer, 4 color TVs with expanded cable. VCR and DVD player. 32' HDTV in the living area (one of the 4 TV's). Beautiful new floor in living area. Queen size beds new in 2009. Carpet in 3 bedrooms replaced in 2013.

About Byron Ritter

Our parents built this house in 1979. They lived in it from 1991 until 2008. The house and property is maintained well. The house is now owened by the three brothers families. We live in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. We vacation in our house each year so we know what is expected for a vacation home.

This property is a great location for walking to the beach or the inland water way. You can see both the ocean and the water way from the porches. The ocean is only a short 5 minute walk from the house. There is a walk way over the dunes we help maintain that is part of the walk over to the beach.

What makes this house unique

We have an enclosed downstairs with outside and inside showers downstairs. There is room for two cars in the inclosed downstairs. You can have dinner downstairs great for hosting neighbors. We have charcoal grill provided.

great family vacation!

I rented this spot with my sisters for our family vacation. Booking was easy and the owner responded to our inquiries promptly. I was a little dubious about the bathroom configuration (one in the garage and 1 1/2 upstairs) but, after the first day of herding 4 kids in from the beach, I was hooked. The h/c outdoor shower was a family favorite! There were 9 of us but we didn't feel at all cramped (the house has great outdoor space). The beach is an easy walk and there really are nice ocean views from the back porch! Our kids ranged from 11 to 4 and they were all thrilled the big kids loved the go-cart track, and the little ones could hardly be pried off the beach. Breakfast at Archibald's is a must! We hope to come back next year.

We loved our week at Holden Beach. The accommodations were excellent! Interior decorating set the mood for relaxation. Qwner was very nice and easy to work with.
The island offered everything you could want. Myrtle Beach close by and Wilmington. We loved picking our own strawberries at the strawberry patch. People were very friendly and the food was GREAT!!! We enjoyed the bibybles every day!
I would highly recommend this house for your home away from home!!!

Great weekend!

We had a great time at the Holden Beach House. Nice layout, and everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to do some great cooking over the weekend!

Beds were comfortable. Be sure to bring your own linens, as that caught us a little off guard when we got there. The walk to the beach was very easy, and they had lots of beach chairs for us to use. You can see the ocean from the porch, which was really nice.

A couple of restaurant / bars down the street that were walking distance, and then some over the bridge on the waterway that were good.

Thanks again for the great weekend!

A little taste of home away from home...

We just returned home from our first trip to Holden Beach and we had an absolutely amazing time. This home had the "home away from home" feel to it. We were able to sit back and relax without worrying. The kids were able to enjoy themselves in the spacious yard and ride bikes on street out front. We had the best of both worlds by having a view of the waterway from the front porch and a view of the ocean from the back porch. The house is very well laid out with lots of room and space. The kitchen was very well supplied. The downstairs bath and laundry room came in handy. The owner was very pleasant and easy to work with. These prices CAN NOT be beat for the space and location that you get when renting this property. Myrtle Beach is a thing of the past for us! We can't wait to return and will always seek this property out first.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Close to ocean!

This was a great place for a great price. The owner's were great. They were very easy to deal with and called to make sure everything was ok. The house was clean, the layout was very open so you could easlily communicate when one was in the kitchen and the other was in the living room. The walk to the beach was short and when sitting on the back porch you had views of the ocean.
Blackbeards was a great restaurant for breakfast. (never made it to try dinner). The Seafood Barn was very good for dinner. I don't recommend Betty's Waterfront Restaurant. The food had no taste and was very expensive. The Paradise Cafe was delicious. It and Blackbeards had a bar just FYI for those who may or may not apprieciate that.
